I was doing some research on PF and other tablet games and I came across this interesting tidbit.

In order to satisfy the regulators, Sincock has had to resubmit Pacific Fleet sans Japanese flags. Let that sink in for a moment. A game based on somewhat well-known conflict (World War Two, was it?) that cannot feature the flags of one of the combatant states.

Just tried that link above Neal, got the " Article not found " error.
Anyway, seems a bit strange doesn't it. Did the article give any reasons?

Try this LINK (http://www.pockettactics.com/news/ios-news/app-store-rejects-wwii-game-over-japanese-flags/)
Here's the reason given in the article:
According to my colleagues at Information Retrieval (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LFlFIG22Y9E), section 15 is the “Violence” guideline, and subsection 3 states the following:15.3 “Enemies” within the context of a game cannot solely target a specific race, culture, a real government or corporation, or any other real entity.Since the original version had only the USN campaign and as such the only enemy was "Japan", this was considered a violation of the above guideline. Solution was easy, pull the flags immediately, then add the IJN campaign along with the flags in a subsequent update.

Thanks :yep::up:
Interesting how they talk about entities being real when they are in the context of a " game ".

Thanks. Link fixed.
I thought it was pretty silly that they had an issue with something like that, but it sounds about right for the Times we live in.

There could be some lengthy discussion about that couldn't there, but at the end of the day it would be like pissing against the wind :o:o
