Since there will be no Superbowl this year due to World destruction, anything is possible.

So here's my spin on the Mayan interpretation of the 2012 Football season.
http://www.arthursclipart.org/fromthepast/past/mayan%20priest.gif

(mayan priest costume not included)

The 2 sepent's heads are symbolic of the Tebow-Sanchez connection. Where one will rise and the other will be sacrificed to the Namath God.
http://euro.mediotiempo.com/media/2012/08/28/tim-tebow.jpg

The Mayans foresaw the return of MoJo.

The Mayans also foretold of a man-king mowing his lawn in black socks, who wil be the future leader of the Oakland Texans (other interperations include the Houston Raiders).

Since we're talkin' Texas teams, The Mayan god of Thunder, represented here:http://a.espncdn.com/media/motion/2012/0725/dm_120725_ESPN_The_Mag_Arian_Foster/dm_120725_ESPN_The_Mag_Arian_Foster.jpg

will crash through the walls of the Eastern Empire to victory. And the queen of the Eastern Empire will be happy cuz Tom can spend more time with her now.http://cdn02.cdn.justjared.com/wp-content/uploads/headlines/2009/03/tom-brady-gisele-bundchen-honeymoon.jpg

http://suvudu.com/files/2010/10/Megatron.jpg

Megatron will devour the cheezheadz and turn Rodgers into a fancy nacho sauce.

The bearz still suck. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DSjtiHfHdbQ

So I bet you all take my San Francisco 49ers seriously this year?

Giants lost to cowgirls, lulz!

We got Moss and Manningham (from the Giants)

Brandon Jacobs (ex giant) at RB, along with Frank Gore, who was a force?

Vernon Davis, most underrated TE, because everyone is riding the Gronk/Brady nuts, who got aired out by the same team who barely beat mine?

Same defensive lineup as last year, I seem to remember, the niner defense was best in the league. Ask Drew Brees. Even Eli will tell ya.

So I ask, pretend team this time around? As much crap as I caught, I live in Giants country, and Giants fans gave my boys respect after that NFC championship game. So will the rest of you? Luck may bounce our way this year! (overtime field goals go either way, our kicker Akers hits them from 50 plus with consistency)
No one even thought the niners were serious until they beat the Saints in the playoffs, it disgusted me.

Go Jim Harbaugh, and the 2012 49ers!:)

*(late edit: We got Green Bay [Rodgers is a beast] this sunday at 4 EST, I have confidence in our defense, and upgraded offense. We will see right?)*

If the people manning threw the ball to had of been able to catch the ball they would've won ...

I wrote off the giants last year ... I wrote off QB Manning ... I wrote off the coach and I sure wrote them off from beating the 49ers or Greenbay.

Manning MVP and Super bowl victory for the Giants proved I was wrong on all counts.

Surely the Cowboys aren't that good, yet?

Cruz seemed like he wanted to go before he caught the ball all night. Romo also picked apart the secondary. The Cowboys defense also seems to be much improved.

Cowboys, Giants and Eagles will be in a season long shootout for the NFC east, strap in and hold on.

But the Giants also went 9-7 last year. And we call them Champions.. Too early to stick a fork in them..Now the Jets on the other hand...:O:

QB controversy, and that joke Rex Ryan as a coach already wrecked the season, no need to play for them.
Poor Alex Sanchez.:hmmm:

Good lord, the Jets!

I am a professional Tebow smasher, and was kinda impressed. He is a big boy, and as much as I kill him, a nice fella IRL.

Early in the first quarter, they played a wildcat, Tebow behind center, and Sanchez lined up as a wide out, he (Sanchez) utterly flattened the cornerback, I was impressed.

Mind you it was Buffalo.

Ughhh, Joe Buck is calling the Niner game. :wah: I may put on the SF radio feed.

And the game starts with 2 really bad calls by the replacement refs... An Illegal block to the back, called on the wrong player, and an unsportsmanlike conduct when the quarterbacks foot knocked some guys helmet loose.

I saw some questionable things with the Jets game, as well as the Redskins game. Goodell needs to stop being such a cheapskate, as these crap calls over the course of time will make this sport a mockery like baseball has become.

I am surprised, as Philly was supposed to be pretty good this year.

Then again, they were the "dream team" last year.

They were supposed to make the 98 Yankees, and Last years Miami Heat blush.:D

Congrats to RG3, I always found him to be a class act. And many thanks for beating Nawlins. Glad to see no one collected any bounties this game.

We had a good if not very good d last year. Look at production per snap, not per game. Our o just can't stay on the field. I think/hope our d is going to surprise a lot of people this year, but I think 4-12 is still as good as we're going to get with our schedule.

David Akers just tied a NFL record with a 63 yard field goal as time ran out in the half. It bounced off the crossbar and through. (It was amazing)

What was Philly thinking giving him up 2 years ago?

Niners defense is smothering the invincible GB offense.

Keep underestimating the 49ers, Harbaugh and his boys thrive on that:woot:

These stand in officals are nice guys from college games and all, but I have seen several mistakes from my side of the TV that did not get called and those mistakes would've cahnged the out come of the game.

They better settle this dispute soon or .... I don't really know what will happen, but it ain't fair that's for sure :arrgh!:

mookiemookie

What gets me about the replacements isn't the missed judgement calls - I mean you can point to plenty of times the real ref's missed stuff like that. It's the not knowing the freaking rulebook. Calling the wrong penalty. Not knowing what to do when something is called. Not knowing the procedure for enforcing a penalty/ Things that a ref should know.

I loved watching Spillman being taken down from behind, then having an illegal block in the back called on him. Joe Buck and Troy Aikman both nearly mocked it (If they were capible of a sense of humor, those 2 are boring)

GB got screwed too, but not as many times as the niners did. (after all, they got a free touchdown, that almost cost us)

We still won, sorry Goodell. Your replacement refs couldn't fill your agenda this time.

These refs are bad. I can handle losing, but not losing to a "scab" refs bad decisions. Does the NFL pay these guys 7.25 an hour? I can tell.

The sheer amount of late flags killed me in the GB/SF game.
These guys do not know their asses from their elbows, and will put a taint on this season.

Today is Sunday! Football!

:Kaleun_Salivating:

Predictions?

I call for a one sided game in Candlestick. The 49ers defense will eat Detroit alive.

RG3 will not be doing is cute little griffining crap too many times today.
(Nothing annoys me more than the sheer attention unproven people get, one game and he is Joe Montana) Sure last week was fun, but reality will come crashing down, you guys are in the NFC east after all.:har:

I hate to comment on a game already in progress, but the Giants will be upset, by a close margin. They only went 9-7 last year, and if not for 2 fumbles from a rookie punt returner in the NFC championship, Eli and his big blue , would be as respected as the Arizona Cardinals.
They showed me nothing but luck last year, and lady luck never commits to one lover for too long.

I said the same thing about the 49ers last year. They may surprise you, considering the division games your Rams can fare well, due to it being so weak.

But looking at your schedule, I see 2 games against San Fran, the Pats, Jets and Packers.

Man I suck as a motivational speaker.

I am supposed to break ya down, and build ya up. I did the opposite.:timeout:

I guess I should just say keep the faith. They will disappoint you for awhile, then when they finally do amaze you it will be all the more special.

I am a Yankee fan, and the 49ers last year felt better than any title the Yanks ever won. Because they amazed me, did something I never expected. I was content with winning 8 games, I found myself with a 13-3 team, that came out of nowhere.

Keep the faith! It will be your turn one day!:woot:

Beating up a quarterback then having him drive for a TD on you is humiliating.

When will people respect him? Sure he isn't Brady pretty, or a Rodgers stat freak, but he makes nearly zero mistakes , is calm and confident in the pocket (unlike years past), and he is a true leader. Most importantly, he wins.

Cam Newton and RG3 get more respect than him, and they have done NOTHING.

I wondered where Suh was all night, then I saw the next day what they were doing.

They called it a wham block, and it resulted in him being flattened by one of our tight ends, after being allowed to run partially into the backfield.

Ballsy o-line scheme.
Edit:

Grats to your Rams Kaleun!

I didn't like it personally, you are in my division ;)

But felt good for you.

A very well written article outlining the farce. Read Mike Peireras article on Fox sports too (link is in the article I linked above)

I even saw a chop block call during the Niner game, that was was legal in NFL, but a flag in college. I can deal with a bad call from a good ref, but a bad call from a bad ref burns my backside!:/\\!! I can tolerate a bad call, but confusion between college and pro rules is inexcusable.

They cannot even get the rules right, plus the constant conferences, and late flags, it takes away from any case the NFL has on not paying these guys.

Owners pay for the best when they buy athletes, why can we not have the best zebras on the field too?

How much money does the NFL make again?

Goodell needs to go, I thought Selig was a bad sports commishioner... Jeez.

From what I've read, and only briefly so please correct me, one of the major issues is that the league wants to make some of the refs full time. But since they already have full time jobs, the ones they want to promote are not willing to do so, as they will be taking a major overall pay cut, and they don't want junior refs taking away the responsibilities they already have.

http://news.firedoglake.com/2012/09/18/the-other-big-labor-dispute-the-nfl-referees-lockout/

***8220;The key is the pension issue,***8221; (NFL Referees Association head Scott) Green told HuffPost, adding that the pensions have been around since the mid-1970s. ***8220;A lot of our guys have made life-career decisions based on assuming that pension would be there.***8221; [...]
Mike Arnold, the lawyer leading negotiations for the union, insists the referees were ***8220;all shocked***8221; by the pension proposal, given the league***8217;s sound financial footing. He said the union simply wanted the same pay raises and benefit packages laid out in its 2006 contract. According to Green, referees earn between $4,000 and $8,000 per game, depending on experience.
Arnold argued that the league***8217;s 121 referees shouldn***8217;t lose their defined benefit plans just because workers elsewhere are losing theirs. The union has told the league it would accept a grandfather system in which current refs keep their current plans and new hires get 401(k)s, but the owners aren***8217;t biting. Arnold also said the refs don***8217;t merely take issue with the type of account they***8217;d be switched to ***8212; the league***8217;s retirement contributions would be trimmed significantly, according to Arnold***8217;s calculations.

They only seek what we all seek when we give our lives and dedications to a job. To have our pensions honored, and to be able to live financially sound after being promised we would.

It is the gripe of most union members in these "union busting, benefit taking, leave-your sorry-ass-in-poverty to increase shareholder dividends days"

Every once in awhile, the man who bleeds and sweats for a living will push back.

My quote box got butchered, please read the article, thank you :)

The weakest division in all of football for the past few years is now pretty strong, and overall playing impressive football.

Seattle is a decent team, Arizona. Hmmm. I was pretty impressed when they Beat NE, but seeing NE lose again makes me wonder if the Pats got worse, or the Cards got better?

The 49ers, despite the loss are still the team to watch out for. Not because I am a fan, but because after all this time it would be foolish to ignore, or minimize them.

NFC west is no longer a joke.

On a side note. There is alot of surpises so far in the season.

That was a DISASTER! Man, how did they screw that up? Why wasn't the play "reviewable"??

The Packer clearly had possession of the ball before the Seabird; the Packer had two hands and his arms wrapped around the ball and pulled it to his chest. The Seabird managed to touch the ball with his left hand, his right was waving in the air until they nearly hit the ground. It was NOT a simultaneous catch. :dead:

"Some stuff just needs to be said. I have to do something that the NFL isn't going to do: I have to apologize to the fans. Our sport, the multimillion-dollar machine, is generated by people who pay good money to come watch us play. The product that is on the field is not being complemented by an appropriate set of officials. Games are getting out of control. Like I said the first week, I'm OK with replacement refs as long as they don't have a direct impact on the game. Obviously, last night, there was a direct impact on the game on multiple plays.

You can't say he was wrong, and he stayed classy about it.
(I always thought Rodgers was great, plus he is a Niner fan;))

You know all this ref lockout is about is an extra 400$ a game, and to be taken care of after a long service with a pension?

America used to pay for the best, now we just pay as little as possible.

But Goody works for the owners, who will maximize profits at all costs, even the leagues integrity.

A real NFL jersey for a fan to buy costs 250$ plus. It kinda puts in perspective the fleecing the fans are getting in all this.

Screw the players, it is us who is suffering, no matter what team you root for.

Maybe if profits are such a problem you can pay the players less?

But if greed is the problem, then they should get over it, and answer the call of the fans.

It's worth the price, it is a beautiful stadium. I got to see a 49er-chickens game there 4 years ago.
The fans are also great. No nasty comments over my niner jersey, and when they trashed my team, they were classy in victory.

You will hear cries for Tebow from the fans, once the poor Jets O-line gets a taste of what a real defense looks like.:D

And I dare them to line Sanchez up as a WR like in the past. He will get killed. Within 5 yards of scrimmage, hits are legal. He is not as big as Tebow, and no where near as tough.

Welcome to gladiator school, Jets.:)

Hope the lesson is long lasting.

I would love to see Patrick Willis sack Rex Ryan, lets see how big his grin is then.

49ers?

Only team more dominating this week was New England, and they gave up points.

I like how the Tebow chants came out in the 2 quarter, just as I said. He then came in and threw a completed pass that the guy fumbled.

I thought the Jets was this scary wildcat team. We gave them lessons on the wildcat (you go, Colin Kaepernik!)

Also major classy on Colins part, at the end of the game he had a 30 yard keeper run, and slid at the 3 yard line, so as not to run up the score. Class act team. They then kneeled to end it, even though they could have trashed them.

Rex said after the game "we got our asses kicked" and something about no one ever rushed for as many yards against him.

Our backup qb had 5 carries for 50 yards (rushing td), 7 49ers had rushing touches.

Next up is Buffalo and Giants, hopefully we can get the New York Trifecta.:D

On a side note, I thought the pats were done when I saw 21-0.

Tom Brady is an animal, a sheer beast. Most likely going to be the best QB in history when all is said and done.

I rarely get to see the 49rs so I have a question. Randy Moss had 1 catch this week, zero catches last week. Is he even considered a starter at this point? I am just curious if he's being the same old Randy who still does not care about anything but his paycheck.

Things that are scarey:
Bears defense. They score enough to beat their opponents all by themselves. If the offense was as good as the "D" we'd all be talking about them.

New England getting a very good ground game. They were tough without one! Those two losses don't mean a thing.

The 49rs...both sides of the ball. They just smash you in the mouth and go about their business. That loss to Minny just might have made them better.

Green Bay. What happened to those guys?

The Texans and Atlanta I'm not convinced about yet, but they sure have my attention. Nobody in their divisions can compete with them, but their history of failing is not letting me get on their bandwagon.....yet.

The loss at Minny was a good thing, that way they got the stress of being undefeated out of the way, and can just play as they know how to do.

Randy Moss still draws double and even triple teams running deep, which opens up other receivers. Leave him uncovered and he is a threat.

Niners tend to use the tight ends alot (Delanie Walker, and Vernon Davis)

Moss going deep leaves the middle open for our big guys.

He is doing his job, and even if the stats do not show it, he is vastly helping the offense.

I just hope he does not become locker room poison like in the past, this team is very unified, and very selfless. Wins mean more to these guys than personal glory.
As long as Randy keeps it about the team he is ok, but at his age, and the fact no one else wanted him, I feel he will behave.

Atlanta does not convince me either, I want to see them play a real team.

The Texans do convince me, that defense is good. They will be tested in a couple of weeks against the Packers and Ravens.

All we can do is see. It is still early.

http://www.usatoday.com/story/gameon/2012/10/07/san-francisco-49ers-nfl-record-300-yards/1619289/

10:56PM EST October 7. 2012 - On Sunday, the San Francisco 49ers became the first team in NFL history to have more than 300 yards rushing and passing in the same game.
Alex Smith passed for 303 yards and a combination of Frank Gore, Kendall Hunter and others ran for 311 more in the Niners' 45-3 victory over the Buffalo Bills.
If "first time in NFL history" didn't provide the proper perspective, maybe these five stats will help:
• No team rushed for more than 300 yards in a single game last season. Only two teams did it in 2010. In the past two decades, the team 300-yard rushing barrier has been surpassed 26 times.
• San Francisco's 621 yards is tied for the 15th-highest total in league history. The 1951 Los Angeles Rams have the record with a 722-yard game against the New York Yanks. The 49ers total is the fourth highest in the past 30 years.
• Prior to Sunday, Alex Smith had thrown for over 300 yards in a game just twice in his career. It took him until his 38th start to accomplish the feat.
• Last week agains the New England Patriots, the Bills became the second team in NFL history to allow a 300-yard passer, two 100-yard receivers and two 100-yard rushers. The team is the first since that infamous early-1950s New York Yanks defense to allow more than 550 yards in back-to-back games.
• The last time a team had more than 275 yards passing and rushing in the same game was in 1988 when the Washington Redskins threw for 322 and rushed for 280 in Super Bowl XXII.

So the scrutiny last year was, that the 49ers had a weak offense. I think that din can die down now.:smug:

Respect the Red and Gold or the kid gets it!

This will include Brandon Jacobs, and Mario Manningham (the one who won the superbowl for the Giants) in opposing uniforms.

This game is huge to Niner fans, as we get to test out our highly upgraded offense. Maybe Kyle Williams can find redemption for those 2 fumbles in the NFC championship game.

Eli ate massive dirt last game, but the Niners lost because of our lacking offense. This year that is not a problem.

Well, it is time for some of the younger guys to take the field. I think Ray Lewis has played now 12 years? The team is getting old. Younger guys need to start working their way into play.

He can't play forever, so you are right. They need to plug the holes the best they can and move forward.

Though his leadership on the field
( Rays ) will be missed.

The same thing happened to Philly's defense after Brian Dawkins was let go. They brought in some younger guys who were, at that point, stronger and faster, but the heart and soul of that defense was gone.

This is why he should be on the sidelines with a set of pom-pom. Motivational speaking can do wonders on the sidelines as well as on the line.

What I mean by leadership is what these guys do on the field to fine tune the defense. Sidelines are the realm of coaches and coordinators and it's usually them that are doing the talking but the defense needs an on-field captain as much as the offense does. Guys like Harrison or Lewis are natural leaders and as important to a teams success as the QB.

They are, but watching the game today made me remember why my hate for Dan Dierdorf burns with the intensity of a thousand suns. That balloonhead couldn't call a balanced game if his life depended on it. Everything was "Ravens this, Ravens that, Suggs, Ed Reed, blah blah blah." Baltimore's getting absolutely spanked, and then they score to pull with NINETEEN points and Dierdorf says "Well, you know with as much time left as there is, Baltimore's back in this football game."

And then the icing on the cake was at the end where he says, "at least for today, the Texans are the better team." I'd say this kind of shutdown may resonate beyond this given Sunday.

In conclusion: suck it, Dierdorf.

Takeda Shingen

Dierdorf's league awareness only covers up to the season ending January 1996, so he probably thinks that the Texans are a CFL team and this was a good will exhibition game.

This is "parity," a term the NFL loves to dress up as an unquestionable positive, like "Thursday Night Football" and "$40 parking." Fans are supposed to adore the unpredictability, the anxiety that anyone can beat anyone on Any Given Sunday. But some weeks, "parity" just sounds like a fancy word for "a lot of teams that are driving everyone insane."

The San Diego Chargers, for example, could beat any NFL team on Any Given Sunday. It's also pretty obvious they could lose to the staff of an Applebee's on Any Given Sunday. The Packers have beaten the Texans and lost to the Colts. The Colts have beaten the Packers and gotten chased off the field by the Jets.

The season isn't two months old, and nearly every NFL team has experienced levitating highs, crushing lows, and hair-curling frustration that makes you want to stomp around the house, screaming loudly into a paper bag. It's like everyone's become a Dallas Cowboys fan.

But you are looking through rose colored glasses.

The Chargers have 3 division wins, yes, but they were one win over Oakland and two wins over the sad Chiefs.
What speaks much louder than those wins are the loss at home to Denver and the loss to a bad Cleveland team.

And: They are a game behind Denver in the Division and have to play them again, and in Denver. Plus Denver has the toughest part of their schedule behind them.
The Chargers are going nowhere.

A tie?

49ers tie?

Green Bay, no problem, utterly destroyed 3 teams this year, but tie with the Rams?

Better than a loss considering the niners were down the whole game nearly.

Kaepernick looked good after we lost Smith to a concussion.

I like Colin Kaepernick, he is everything the Jets fans wish Tebow was. I see Colin as a viable QB, not just in the future, but now.

Ha ha to the Giants.

Anyone notice when Eli is losing he gets a look in his face, like a cross between a deer in headlights, and a 10 year old trying not to cry.

He lacks the poise of Peyton. And is no where near as tough.

Manning bests Rivers, Broncos beat Chargers

Published November 19, 2012

Denver, CO – Peyton Manning threw for 270 yards and three touchdowns to lead the Denver Broncos to a 30-23 decision over the San Diego Chargers in an AFC West matchup.

Phillip Rivers, Eli Manning, and Ben Roethlisberger were all drafted together in 2004. Manning and Roethlisberger each hold a pair of Lombardi trophies

Depite Alex Smith being out, Kaepernick is doing great so far.

I said it before, but Colin Kaepernick is the future of the 49ers, he is everything Rex Ryan wishes Tebow was.

Watch and be awed, by the rookie sensation, and choking defense, and the outright greatness of the San Francisco 49ers.

As bad as Rivers looks, Charlie Whitehurst is not the answer. These days, it seems nobody has a decent back-up QB.

The Chargers offensive line got killed by injuries this year, and weren't all that great healthy. They are giving Rivers no chance at all right now.

New England, I love your metrosexual QB. Does he have a penis, or it it painted on like his eyebrows? I bet Giselle knows.

I wasn't aware that there was such an interest in the genitalia of our future hall of fame Quarterback but I guess that'd be natural thing for a 49ers fan. :) BTW I believe Giselle has another little Brady bun in the oven, due next month just in time for the playoffs. Apparently metrosexuals still get some...

Anyways we got our own troubles. We lost one of our star players yesterday. Rob Gronkowski out indefinitely with a broken forearm sustained during an extra point attempt in the 4th quarter. What the heck a tight end is doing participating in an extra point play when we have a 35 point lead is beyond me. Ditto with Brady and the rest of the starters. Doesn't make sense to keep them playing when they've built up a lead like that.

Don't be so quick to dismiss Baltimore and Denver.

soopaman2

True enough, RickC. More Denver than Baltimore though. (IMHO)

Peyton shoved it up all the naysayers bums.

49ers almost got him, but he wanted Denver. Which is fine.

Speaking of 49er QBs, it seems we may have us a QB controversy in SF.
Alex is a leader and has done great things for this team, But Kaepernick has proven all year he can get it done, and proved yesterday, that he has the stuff, to be a force in the NFL. The media has hopped on this.

" I got 2 good quarterbacks, oh what do do?!"
Not a bad problem

I hope it does not result in the zoo, that the NY Jets are mired in, crap like that is distracting from winning games.

Thankfully Coach Harbaugh is lightyears ahead of Coach Ryan on class and coaching ability.

I don't.

Rex Ryan is a classless jerk off with a big mouth, he talks, Jets cannot deliver, he looks stupid.

Anymore super Bowl predictions for your awesome team Rex, or did that fade away when the 49ers showed you how a real wildcat is run? I am local to this mess, and have to listen to the fans justify this dottering idiot Ryan, as he spits out his unproductive dreck.

Woody Johnson, (of Johnson and Johnson fame, like the band aids, and baby oil) the owner of the Jets would rather have "asses in the seats" than a winning team, hence the Tebow aquisition. Results are secondary, over profit...Good in the corporate world, but the hallmark of a losing team in the world of pro sports.

All the Pats do is destroy opponents.

Ask Andrew Luck.

Trust me, I relate, as all we (SF of course) do is destroy folks too.:D

(Not like NE, They are freaking unreal offensively, defense, meh, so so)

I would love to have my beloved team play yours in the superbowl. But something tells me this is a Niner vs Texans year, and a boring 17-9 superbowl.

Any Giants fans? They been silent lately?

I hate the NY football teams. Hate!

(go Knicks) ;) couldn't help it

I'll see you later this year my friend August! We play, and it will be the game of the year for both teams. :)

December 16th...

I hope Kaepernick is the starter that day.

His story so far reminds me of Tom Brady, an untested QB replacing a tried and true veteran named Drew Bledsoe. Who (Brady) turned into a legend, leaving the other QB in historical obscurity.

History always repeats itself. :D

It is still early, and I get in trouble when I talk garbage prematurely.

But it looks as if Alex Smith is about to lose his job.

I feel bad for Alex, he did so right by the team, and stayed classy through the hard times and good times.

But, Kaepernick, looks great.

He seems to be struggling with the crowd noise in Nawlins, but he is just ouright more talented than Alex Smith.

Is he as smart as Alex Smith? That remains to be seen. I am rooting for him, he really impresses me.

Niners!

soopaman2
11-25-12, 06:05 PM
Since I sung Kaepernicks praises, I will be objective and sing my critisizms.

He is having a hard time in the crowd noise.

He is throwing "just to throw" rather than throwing smart.

He is not running enough, he is electing to throw into coverage, rather than using his speed and size to his advantage.

As of the time of this post it is 14-14. (Thanks to the 49ers defense)

See? I am not a complete fanboy. I can see reason, but I honestly see him as a resource to be developed, and cultivated, and ex QB Jim Harbaugh is the man to do it. Just as he took a mediocre Alex Smith, and turned him into a top QB.

My honest feeling as of halftime, is the 49ers will lose this game, but it will be close.

3 minutes left. SF first and 10, up by ten.

Kudos to the defense, 2 picks for TD returns.

Brees is amazing, all jokes aside. He is one of the few to be able to "thread the needle" with consistency.

I called this game close, though for the first time since the Giants game, I actually feared my team losing.

Good Show Nawlins!:salute:

Brees? Freaking amazing, very few are as accurate and cool as him, despite having people in his face all game.

Edit: Number 77 of NO, kicking someone in the back is a real class move. I hope he gets a fine on top of the DQ.

Nawlins, reliving the Katrina Superdome behavior, and not too mindful of its bounty penalties I see.

Sore loser is sore.

What is wrong with Green Bay this year?

Not saying the Giants suck, but the Pack is so mediocre this year.

They were this intimidating force at one point, now they are simply a matter of "pass rush Rodgers every defensive play=win"

Bad coaching? Overrated QB-itus?

Giants are not this good, I refuse to believe it. Texans are better, New England is better. The Giants?

You turds ( Giants players, not my esteemed forum members)) are making it real hard to be a Giants hater in a house of Big Blue fans.

I think the Pats would trade in the steamrolling for Super Bowl wins, last year being one and the the year they went undefeated. Coincidently they lost both to the Giants, who I do think have a great team again this year.

I first saw it on a scroll while watching another NFL football game sunday ...

San Diego Chargers 13
Baltimore Ravens 10

with 1:42 left to go

boy did I feel happy

then I saw OT 13 to 13

then I saw Baltimore 16 San Diego 13

but it took till today to see that the play that won the game hadn't been done in 25 years

4th and 29 yards with 1:42 left should've ended the game instead it might have ended poor Norm Turners job as head coach.

I hope and pray that the San Diego Chargers win the last five games and go on to the playoff's beating the Baltimore Ravens
to go on to the super bowl, therby saving Norm Turners job in the process.

They did it before going 8 and 8 a few years ago and then onto the playoffs. They can do it again :yep:

OK OK, as fun as it was to play our backup, and as much as I liked him....

I think it is time to put Alex Smith back in.

He never ran 20 yards backwards, and intentional grounded the team into a safety. Which in time cost us the game...

Harbaugh? Listen.... Smith, back at starting QB...Now? Before we lose this playoff/superbowl run? Please?
