Reworked bubble particles coming from Type-VIIA, B, C and C41 boats while submerged.
- Bubbles no longer travel with Submarine. They only move up and spread out a bit.
- Increased Life so bubles now rise well above periscope view range.
- reduced vertical velocity so bubbles rise slower to be more realistic.
- Set Partical Weight so bubbles slowly accelerate as they rise.
- reduced bubble size.
- reduced Maximum Partical so effect does not look like continuos high preasure air leak.
- reduced number of particals that can be created at same time.
- adjusted partical variation values.

Its still messed up .
I just downloaded and it is fine.

I did change the file name.

Please ensure you are opening the correct file.
The New Bubbles.GR2 / .FX located in the documentation folder are just testing tools use to quickly view changes.

Does SubSim.com repack new uploads?

Yeah, I am currently working on that issue. On v0.0.1 alpha It appears I grabbed wrong bubbles texture from data\Library\Materials.dat file.

Type-VIIA is looking pretty good right now but encountering a problem.
If I try to make the bubbles much smaller, they just vanish. Less detail here then in previous SH versions.

I will have a new version some time tomorrow.

Sweet bubbles .
If you could look at the deck spray and adjust so that the spray doesnt use the deckgun but uses the conning tower that would be useful . No need to credit me in this mod btw .

Would the water spout still come up over the deck station or though the deck station?

All structural obstructions between the hull and the deck should have water spouts and the deck gun mount is a big one alone with foreward/aft hatches and winch near the bow.

I will take a look at the waterlevel transition settings.
Maybe I can adjust it so the water spout only occurs when it drops below or near actual water level.
That would stop in from running on calm sea.

You added alot to rougher seas though by providing your solution. The only one available as of now. Conning tower spray would be awesome based on roughness of sea though. :salute:

I started a SH5 Deck Spray MOD when SH5 first came out but was having some issues that I think I can resolve now.
I will try to setup my old computer to transfer that MOD to this computer and finish it.
Basically iti would be the same type deck spray I did for SHIII/IV.

I've tried to add sounds to particle FX for the whale recently released with OHII v 2, but with no joy so far. :-?

I follow this discussion with maximum interest, in hope that someone of you will manage doing it.... and by the way great work on this one too, TheBeast :up:

When you update a file, the uploaded date does not change. This is something to do with the way the web page is setup.

Sub_Bubbles_v0_0_2a_ byTheBeast is Sub_Bubbles_v0_0_2b_ byTheBeast, I just forgot to rename it.:oops:
I have corrected the naming issue.:up:

I started a SH5 Deck Spray MOD when SH5 first came out but was having some issues that I think I can resolve now.

Got my old PC fired up and copied the MOD over to this PC and started looking at it again.:woot:

Looks like the Deck Spray MOD may have to combine with this bubbles mod.:timeout:

Also, it appears that particals from Materials.dat in SH5 are mor then 5 times larger then in SH4.:hmmm:
This means I have a lot of trial/error testing to adjust effects to look half way decent.:/\\!!

Current I've added 4 new bones to the VIIA and they are working.:up:

I was exploring and I think I may be able to add more bubbles/oil leaks that only happen when certain items are damaged.

i.e. when flooding is happening in a compartment bubbles and or oil leaks start generating and when systems are repaired, those FX stop.

Right now If I make bubble smaller, they just vanish. I will play with it a bit to see it I can tweak it.

The bubbles on prppellers use a FastParticleGenerator Control. The problem with this control is that the bubbles follow along with the boat position.
The ParticleGenerator control supports created particles to remain at global position they were created and these particles can also be effected by global environment.

Increase Opacity and Decrease bubble size by 50%.

Currently no, but it is something that might be looked in to by someone with scripting skills.

Bubbles in this mod rise approximately 15m before they dissapate.

I was thinking about linking Oil Leak(s) and Bubbles to various ship damage states so these FX start when ship is damaged. Then the FX stop when ship is repaired.
Would be very scary if enemy could see these type FX to help them locate you.

Hey Beast,

I have a question for you as noted by Gap there was a 2 and a 3 version that you said you were updating. I am grabbing mods off Sobers MegaMod list and he has the 3 version on the list as well as the 2 version down lower on the list. Is that for a reason or was it just a mistake as he was typing things up?

This is a game engine or environment bug. In rough sea even without the bubble or splash mod you can some times see splashed go by from those positions.
Nothing I can do about this issue that I am currently aware of. I think this may be why UbiSoft made original bubble FX so you could not see them.

For the flares , wouldnt that be the sane thing i did to stop the light bouys shining thru objects , whatever that was . I cannot remember .

That control looks simular to IsBlocking control FlakMonkey used for his SHIII Interior Mod. Maybe we can investigate.

The Nr_Dials are very bright. Maybe to much specular?

i have try the change on the bags you have make in .DAT ,i have not more the blue render.. ,but the red light is not renderer on :hmmm:
actualy i try the geninvisiblectrl ...

Ps:Normaly more specular=more darker
