I'm about to reveal my point of view on the current situation.
Please let me finish without interrupting.

At first I apologize for my bad English.
As you all know, I'm a German Schutze.
English isn't my native language, but I'll do my best.

Some of you will be offended, some of you will feel released.
I can't avoid this.
What, if I'm wrong?
Then I'm wrong and will most likely not survive, because many of you will not trust me any longer.
If I'm right, then I will most likely not survive either, since the creatures will try to take revenge up on me.
So be it. Here we go.

As you all know, some of us here are true humans and some of us here, hide a terrible monster deep inside.
The monster inside is eager to kill all the remaining humans on this island.
The problem is how can we find out who is really who?

This question has been in my head over and over again.
At the nunnery, I got an idea, a possible way to separate the good from the bad.
It is just a theory and not fool proof, but as far as I can see it,
it's one of the last options we have and should be used to prevent the animals take back the island.
We have been on our own far to long. Let's unite and fight back!!


*A mumbling raises*

Ask yourself the next question:
What will a werewolf absolutely never do?
Indeed, he will never show his true nature, never show who he really is.

This has led me to the next conclusions:

1) He/They will behave as humanly as he/they can and play the game along with the other humans.
2) He/They will avoid the humans making progress in unveiling them.
3) He/They will use the divide and conquer strategy to spread as much doubt as possible.


At point 1)
We all are behaving as human as possible during day time. So that's an easy one and won't help us any further

At point 2)
Looking back at recent actions undertaken by all of us, I discovered a pattern.
There are people amongst us who start looking for solutions (doing research) and there are those who don't.
Why would someone do nothing, besides hiding or armouring himself (knowing that wouldn't stop the beast), while his life is at stake?
Exactly, because doing anything else might help others to reveal its true nature
Also he knows his life isn't at stake at all, so why bother?

At point 3)
Look back again at the actions of some of us, during the last couple of days.
There are many accusations done by many of us, but some are a bit more pushy about who needs to be lynched next.
If you take a close look then you see what I mean.
Why is that?
The most likely answer is that it is an advantage for the werewolf to kill an opponent by using an 'official way' to get rid of him.
Also, There are men who try to unite, and there are those who try to avoid such united pact.
Why? Because a united group is stronger then an individual.

*The Enigma pauses again and looks around*

Instead of running I need to return and sort this out. I have been wrongly accused. All are being led astray and provided false information. I need to return...

Now we have arrived to the 'grande finale'.
I've made a lists of names and applied my theory on it....

My list:
Enigma - I know I'm no wolf, but that doesn't proof anything. It's up to you to believe me or not. Pro for me: I've gone to the nunnery to find out what Nisgeis has found there, so I'm researching too.
MookieMookie - Researching, so he is no wolf according to this theory.
AVGWarhawk - First in the tower, later on the beach doing nothing except for himself, trying to divide people. To me, he is most certainly a wolf.
Jimbuna - Researching, being attacked twice, no wolf to me.
Tarasque - Together with AVGWarhawk doing no research, so I suspect him to be a wolf. Also I think he knows that AVGwarhawk is a wolf too.
Takeda - Was in the dungeon while 3 People were killed/attacked. So he can't be a wolf.

*waits to give everybody a chance to digest the theory, then he continues...*

For he who is mad at me for saying that he is a werewolf, I can only reply:
Proof that you aren't a werewolf. Convince us, not only me, but everybody.
I'm sure everybody will gladly change his mind if that can help avoid killing another human.
Now, the only thing the accused can do to make me change my mind is to proof my theory is wrong.

Do I see some foreshadowing here of Tarrasques death. Enigma stating he will never leave this place...a funeral. Planning his next attack he was. All very interesting.

Leaving the Tommies, He went back to the gate of the POW camp.
Here he discovered that nobody was on guard.

The Enigma hears the desperate cry coming from the chapel and he smiles.
They obviously are giving that poor Tommy a special treatment.


"Special treatment? Just how special Enigma. Nail biting I'm sure."

The Enigma turns back to the castle to report to Hauptmann Rear.
Before reporting in, he decide to have something to eat in the kitchen.
Thinking over what had happened today, Schütze Enigma doesn't feel
comfortable. Even worse, his stomach no longer accepts the food he's trying to
eat.

Hauptmann, despite my very thorough check of the complete castle I couldn't find anything that could us lead to the murderer(s).

I've discovered this on my second inspection near one of the windows in the West tower.

I can't figure out wat it is, it's not wool, it's something else.
The wall is scratched there too.

So, that SS creep wanted to reveal something about this place.
He learned that at St. Sophia's Nunnery.
Nobody seems to be willing to learn what that might be.
I'm going to find out, no matter what.

*Nisgeis is dead, that makes him (almost) human
*Captain Raptor1 killed by the beast, so he was human.
*The WereWolf seems to be reluctant to kill Jimbuna, despite it's choice to do so (Is he protected by some force?).
*Oberfeldwebel Ducimus is still missing (start finding this very awkward)
*Schuetze AVGWarhawk is becoming a nervous wreck. (how come, does he has to live with a terrible truth?)

Mookie and Jimbuna strapped AVGWarhawk to the post. As they turned to walk away, Jimbuna clapped the doomed man's shoulder. "Sorry, old chap. War, you know."

AVGWarhawk said nothing.

Takeda looked at his watch, then the sky. "Looks like a storm is coming." Tarrasque grunted.

After a few minutes, the sky darkened noticeably. AVGWarhawk stared at the ground. Jimbuna, Mookie, and Tarraque raised their rifles. "Well, get on with it, what the blazes are you waiting for?" cursed AVGWarhawk.

"Steady, boys, ready, aim, fire."

Three shots pierced the night sky.

AVGWarhawk was still for a few moments, then began to twitch and struggle. He bellowed as he transformed, "Thank you for releasing me from this curse!"

So I says 'mate, this is a bit overblown, innit? Bein' honest with you, it's not the Great Wall. It's an alright wall. It's the Alright Wall of China.' Oh and he didn't like that a bit. He said it was huge and went on for miles over the hills and stuff. I told him 'well, so does the East Lancs Road. You can see that for miles, and that does a job! You can drive on that.' Never did understand that whole bit about a 'Great Wall' I mean it's just a wall. My aunt has a wall in her garden. You don't see people travellin' halfway across the world to see that, do you?"

He takes another gulp of schnapps, finishing the glass.

"And these wolves.... men who turn into wolves. Why, when it was invented, has it got that facility? That can't be natural, innit? Like, I've heard they've found this spider, in the jungle. Three foot long, it eats chicken. Bit weird, innit? People moan saying that you shouldn't lock animals up and all the rest of it, but to be honest I wish it was locked up. The idea that it's roaming in a jungle... get it locked up. Same with these werewolves. Lock them up or shoot the lot of them, I say."

Mookie poured himself another healthy glass of schnapps

Strange thing is, before the damned war, I never drank Schnaps.
A beer once in a while, but that's it.
But since then and more since I'm at this God forgotten place...

Well it's quite clear to me. It's that bloke who's out there freezing on the beach. I know it ain't me mates Takeda or jimbuna, and I'm pretty sure it isn't you. Shame to lose a good Chief, but I don't think they're testing for the lupine persuasion at the Royal Naval College. Have a drink, sit by the fire, and let's make sure we all make it through this alive and well. We'll sort him out tomorrow.

As dawn broke, the few remaining men of HMS Terrific and the sole survivor of Verposten X gathered in the Great Hall.

No one had died in the night, but there had been enough howling and gnashing of teeth to keep them up at night.

Day begins

Mookie eyed the ragtag bunch that was left in the castle. Takeda, the Yank newsman, looked shell shocked and weary. PO Jimbuna looked like he could do with a shower and a shave but the burly man still retained his jolly nature. The German, Enigma, looked every bit of the frightened kid playing at war that he undoubtedly was.

"We know what has to be done. We've been through much, and lost many of our friends along the way. Let's do them a favor and end this abomination. The only beast left is Tarrasque. It pains me to say it, but Tarrasque must die so that we may live. "

[Tarrasque]

Knowing that they've turned against him, quietly waits and accepts his fate with dignity.

[Jimbuna]

Jimbuna was sat next to Mookie, he felt really elated that after all they had been through together and after all the comrades they'd lost that it looked like this nightmare ordeal was coming to an end.

He noticed Mookie looking at him so he returned his look with a smile which developed into a wide grin and then a hearty laugh.

Mookie began to look puzzled but at that point Jimbuna let out a rasping pump (for the benefit of any younger members who may be following this thread) it was so loud it would possibly wake the dead.

Mookie said "WTF"!

Jimbuna "Now I know why the werewolves never attacked me"

Mookie "Why is that"?

Jimbuna "Well isn't it obvious?....they would have had to consume that".

Both men gave each other an understanding look and nodded in agreement.

And so it came to this. The five of them: The drained newsman, the fiercely loyal british sailor, the battle-hardened PO, the neophyte soldier and the beast who had betrayed them all. Soon it would end. Tonight, they would all sleep well.

Jimbuna looks around him at the other four men but in particular at Mookie and Takeda, the two who have acted so honestly and honourably toward him throughout this whole sad, sorry business and decided 'Time to end it'.

*The Enigma was standing in the kitchen and looking at the sky seeing a new day had arrived.
Feeling lonely, since all of his German comrades have died during the past week and missing his dear one: Hildegard.

So, the four picked up their weapons with a heavy sigh. Tarrasque walked unaccompanied to the center of the ward, clasped his hands behind his back, and bowed his head. He murmured in prayer.

Enigma began to say something, perhaps express a tone of regret, but Takeda stopped him with a hand to his shoulder. Enigma looked at Takeda, then Mookie, and nodded.

"All right then, ready, aim... fire."

A staccato bracket of rifle fire shook the afternoon air. Tarrasque staggered, dropped to one knee. The now-familiar transformation began--the bugling eruption of muscle, the hideous sprouting of black hair. But after only a matter of moments, Tarrasque coughed and fell forward.

The ordeal of Verposten X was over.

"So, is there any chance we can repair your sub and get away from here?" suggested Enigma?

Mookie smiled, "Well, I highly doubt we can make it seaworthy, but we have nothing but time to try."

The men walked to the dock, and were astonished to see a Norwegian trawler tied up alongside Terrific.

"Hey you men, what are you doing here?" asked the old sea captain.

"We're marooned," shouted Jimbuna. "Can you give us a lift?"

"Aye." The old captain rubbed his chin. "Aye, welcome aboard. Our next stop is Vanvikan. That's where we winter. It's a little village, but you're welcome to come along if you choose to earn your keep with shipboard duties."

The men looked at one another. "Well," said Jimbuna, "it cannot be any worse than this place."
