In version 4.2 added option to the user control on / off plastic texture in IO_StrategicMap_x_x\data\Scripts\Menu\IO_Strategic Map_Settings.py line IOSMPlasticTextureEnabled = True - change True to False and you don't see "Plastic-Look" :rock:

This is a great map, I find myself liking the plastic (I would think I would have plastic on my navigation charts!)

Unfortunately now I have no way to verify this. The result will be known only on Monday, if necessary, will be released a new version. If reaper7 not modify the page navigation map.ini and Page navigation map.py then IO_StrategicMap_4_2_for_Ui-Boat V4.0 & AVCv2 fits newest version 4.13.

Instead, these instruments should appear big navigation tools. When using New_Ui_by_TDW big tools are disabled by default, so the TAI tools when switching to a navigation map should not be turned off.

IO strategic map does not interact with these options and any impact on them will not help. If you want it to be tuned, you need TDWs UI (http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=166093).

The version thats compatible with TDW UI and Magnum Opus. I think everything else is working as it should, just the plastic cover is the wrong size.

Actually mod is designed so that everything should work perfectly on any screen resolution. Probably where it crept in error. Thank you for your signal, I'll understand.

Terrain harbour Flags Mod 1.2.1. and IO_StrategicMap_x_x_x conflict only one file - StrategicMapNew.dds.

With "Grid" in "Squares" much harder in a kind of restrictions "Pixels". Probably, it is necessary to use raw. (Map 2), and it is much difficult. Its size (222 Mb).

I will try to realise all in raw. (Map 1). This decision most convenient for all also will "weigh" it only 1.5 Mb (rar).

For me difficult to see the fine ruler-line in the dark grey sea. Have a any possibility for the sea to be with lighter color? (bigger contrast between the line or pencil and the background.)

SH5 Patcher can change the color of the tool lines, you should use that. :)

Everybody working correctly the IO_strategic map with the new OH II v1.5?
Another question.
I not make a picture, but I shunk a ship, the red sign has always wrong place. The difference not a big, I see only the big magnification. I beleive this is a small bug. Earlier this was not interesting, but now playing with realnav, and already a little bit disturbing.

This problem occurs because of some incompatibilities IO_Strategic_map and Terrain_harbour_flags_Mod_v1_2_1. You need to install Terrain_harbour_flags_Mod_v1_2_1 before IO_Strategic_map.
The second question, I do not think it has to do with this mod and that any reply on this subject I can not.

The 1. make from the map, before I shoot the ship. I, and the ship not moved until the procedure.

The destroyed marks have nothing to do with Obelix's mod. They are a feature of my UIs mod.
They will never show in the correct place due to the way I get the information for them. It's not perfect. Until I devise a exe patch for this they will never show in the correct place.

I just installed the new version for the IO Strategic Map mods:
1) IO_StrategicMap_4_6_for_TDWv690
2) IO_Shape_Textures_NO_Mod
This along with Ilyustrator's Marine Quadrant Karte (MQK).
I'm also using TDW's New UI's 6_9_0 and a few other mods (see below list)
CHALLENGE
It seems that the attack disk is not working well (I'm using OH II). The Target Disk is not responding to the shift key and the Bearing Disk is not responding to the ctrl key.
When testing my installation, I made sure that the disks were not locked by the upper switch.:hmmm:

I can suggest to use to You with "MQK" instead of IO_StrategicMap this Gradient_IO_for_MQK. (http://www.gamefront.com/files/21154293/Gradient_IO_for_MQK.rar)
If Your problem not to be resolved, means IO_StrategicMap is not the hindrance for yours attack disk.

i've got a weird problem with I assume to be the map that I've never encountered before.
When in the bunker and you go to the briefing screen, on the map there the boats map complete with map tools is overlaid on to the briefing map, you can't skip the briefing by pressing the appropriate button or even exit it once its completed as the "X" top right isnt there!! The plastic cover of the boats map partially covers the briefing map too.....weird....
Anyone else had this??

No! Between versions 4.14 and 5.02, there are significant differences in the files page navigation map.py and page navigation map.ini. At present I see no need to release a new mod because Ui-boat 5.02 is in testing and refinement. Once released the final version, I will release mod.:up:

1. What do you use mod of interfaces? (NewUi, Ui-Boat, MaGui or stock)
2. This gradient is selected depths based on the fact that the actual charts are drawn in this way - the deeper, the brighter (at least the people who served at sea have assured us of this). At the moment I can not tell you how to fix it, do not hand the game. As soon as get home, I can explain to you how to fix it as you wish.
... At present I see no need to release a new mod because Ui-boat 5.02 is in testing and refinement. Once released the final version, I will release mod.:up:
OK, apparently we do not wait for a long time a new version of Ui-Boat, so I decided to release IO_Strategic_Map for Ui-Boat 5.02 beta. Build mod is completed, test it today and if all goes well, today or tomorrow mod will released.

Initially, the font for the English language. To use the mod on the Russian version of the game I had to adjust the font. I think you have to do the same for the Hungarian version.

hi! i like this map mod but i have a problem. Max resolution on my laptop is 1366x768 meaning almost half my screen is covered with the map tools. Is there a way to disable them?
I'm using the stock UI so having 2 sets of tools doesn't help me hehe. :salute:

CR is the control room, if you look at the map on the navigators table you will see that this mod changes the stock map.
The strategic notes shown on the picture are visible when choosing a new mission, they describe the mission goals.

I noticed from the pics that the depth shades appear to be opposite to the standard shades (ie: the deeper the water, the lighter the color so that the most shallow water is the deepest blue). I really want to use this mod as it looks stunning but is there a way to have the depth shades with the deepest water having the deepest shades of blue and so on?!

I was going to mention this as well but have been busy just coming to grips with the game and the mods.
Not sure what is involved in editing this portion of the map. Perhaps I'll try to noodle around a bit.

Yes, SH4 did. After the explaination, It makes a lot of sense, I am however, used to three games with grey to blue colors on the nav maps. I am going to give it a go, I hope I don't screw up my boat, this is a habit I'm really going to have to undo, having the colors "backwards". The mod just looks so good.

Lon/lat on the nav map are configured through TDW's NewUI.
If you do not want to un-enable all your mods and re-do the OptionFileEditorViewer options, you can manually enable them in-game (one of the buttons in the top-left corner of the map - Long/Lat numbers checked), but you'll need to do it every time.

Is there a way (other than running 1920X1080!) to make those tools bigger without loosing my resolution?

I think the bigger yet. :hmmm:It was about how to reduce the Stock tools on the smaller ones.
In your case, you have to change them "root." Need to re-program their size.

Disable New UI's , open TheDarkWraithUserOptions.py (path: data/Scripts/Menu) with notepad, look for these rows:

Change 'False' to 'True'. Make a backup copy of the file (you never know ;)), save you changes, and reenable the UI. Done!
I know, this is not the orthodox way to edit New UI's options, but I couldn't find the appropriate entry in Option File Editor... :hmm2:
If you notice any corruption, you can always replace the modified .py file with the backed up file. :up:

No, IIRC, this option allows switching between the tools displayed on the side tool bar (false) or as objects directly on the map (true).
I don't know any other method for increasing further their size. Once I tried modding the map settings, but I failed miserably... :oops:
Nonetheless I am Obelix could do it easily

Hey guys, I see that I have to make a fix for mod, which will include scaling tools:yep:. Now the tools do not scale: they have a fixed size in pixels. The result of this approach still emerged - on monitors with higher resolution screen tools have become too small. My monitor has a resolution of 1280x1024 (well, there is a TV 1920x1080) and I have not had the opportunity to see how it will be on other resolutions.

Schedule, I think, is not particularly affected. Look here, there are a lot of cards Kriegsmarine, maybe find something new for our mod. I think about drawing names and something else which patches. The game is constantly adding new cards (mine fields, etc.) and tables. I'll have to organize it as that.

yes to both. Just a note: if you want to use my mod together EQuaTools, make sure to follow instructions on how to do it in the download page of Alternative Cursors & KM Map Tools

Probably not.
Look ap post #1 of this thread: the last supported version of New UIs is v 7.1.0.
IO Strategic Map and New UIs have some files in common, if as it is likely, TDW has updated them since v 7.1.0, TDW's changes need to be updated on this mod too :yep:

So today I finally is starting to work on IO_StrategicMap for TDWv742.
But it turns out that there is already 7.5.0 (which is quite natural, because I was not so long , and during that time a lot has changed) . But the first post topics [REL] Multiple UIs for SH5 with TDC does not link to the version 7.5.0 . Where can I find this version?
Should I continue to work on the 742 or completely throw the power of 750 ?

Seen a significant conflict with Terrain_harbour_flags_Mod_v1_2_1 and OPEN HORIZONS II, which manifests itself in unreadable the missions text on the map. To avoid this problem, the mod should be installed after Terrain_harbour_flags_Mod_v1_2_1 and OPEN HORIZONS II.:yep:

Gotcha, I missed that, thank you for your reply. I installed it after OPII, I could not resist, that map is a major immersion-factor :) So far no problems but I played only 3-4 hours and far from coasts. Thanks for your beautiful work.
