Oh well resolved now.
Take her for a Test Drive and see how she feels :woot:.

Tested it out, seems to work just as you explained it, congrats. Only thing that threw me off, was using the stock UI, because I am so used to using your UI:haha:

This is awesome. :yeah:
Just fired it up on a test mission with static targets and it works great! :salute:
Only drawback: it conflicts with the digital clock mod for the stock HUD.
Edit: Testing on a moving target, I am having no luck getting the speed estimate to work. It returns the "There must be at least 5 seconds between measurements" error. Am I missing something?
I'm not sure about this. I had no luck of getting the right values for a Ranger class tanker. Also, seems like for many ships the right values come up on funnel height, not mast. And there is a problem with the UI, I was about to be rammed by a mad merchant and pressing the crash dive button I surfaced the boat :D The depth unde keel and return 2 course icons are missing and it conflicts with the digital clock mod.. maybe you can move the icon on the tools panel.
Anyway, I'm happy that you released a standalone mod for this, not everybody use UI mods, so I hope this will get better. Thank you.
Congratulations. You have solved a capital bug in SH5. Bravo.
Reaper, this mod is constructed over the 1.01 version of the game?
The buttons of 1.2 version disappear :-? (Depth under the keel, and return to course).

Are you sure your pressing the green updta button after taking each stadimeter reading.
Is the range reading changing in the sXO Dialog when you press the update button.
It sounds like it still working like stock for you.
Can you give me the name of the ship your targeting the rang via TAI Map ruler.
The range XO dialog reports after using the Stadimeter before pressing update.
And the range after pressing update.
I tested this with a lot of ships at different ranges. And all worked ok for me at mast height.

So it is, Did most of the Mod on my laptop which is pre V1.2 as My main UI Mod is on the Main PC.
Will update this for V1.2. And release a compatiable one for the digital clock.
Anybody got a link to the digital clock Mod :06:.

The only file that may conflict is the DefaultHud.ini file in the Pages Folder.
I'm not sure what TDW mod that your using has on that page if any.
You could try enabling it with JSGME and if it doesn't come up with a warning your good to go.
Otherwise you need a program like WinMerge to merge the 2 files together.
(Thats the prog I used to add the Patch 1.2 stuff that was not in the original)

there's no reason to add. The UIs mod from me already has my stadimeter fix in it. What version of my UIs mod are you using?

yes that one has the automatic mast height fix in it.
Sorry to bother with this, but Skwasjer's Digital Clock fix not work at me, the clock is there but not working.. I get only a static 0 :(
Is not possible to move ur icon somewhere else, maybe right inside the XO dialog panel?
And one more thing. Is no "computer or somebody" on the sub who is able to track the range for us? Something like "send to TDC" and the range is start to be tracked by the AI. This annoys me very much, every 5-10 second I have to do a range reading if I play with 100% realism settings :/

Sorry didn't realise you didn't know about TDW neverversion of his Mod with stadimeter fix. Thought from post that you were just using an earlier version for some technical reason.
Would have directed you to his thread otherwise.

Then Install my Stadimeter Mod second.
Last install the Fix and ignore warnings.

Soooo......
What about when certain ships that were removed from the recog manual due to patch 1.2? That's the current problem I'm with TDW mods. :06:
I mean, most of my targets are large steamers but only gets IDd as penguin class...

Mod doesn't touch the ship cfg files.
Devs removed some of the ships as they were clones of each other.
Can be easily changed though, open up each ones cfg file found in there coresponding folder in the sh5/data/sea folder.
Look for an entry that says Includeinrecognitionmanual = False and change to true. Do this for all effected ships.
I will do this for My HighRes UI Mod and include in next release as the stadimeter Mod in now integrated into that. :yeah:

i join this forum because of your mod,i must say thank you at first
just as #7 said, the speed of the target cant be calculated after use this mod
i think it is because that when we use the stadimeter as usual at first time,we have transmited the wrong data to TDC once, and then,we use the mod,and transmit the right data to TDC anther time.the time between the two transmitions is too short.so the speed cant be calculated.would you please try to solve this problem?
while my mother language is not english, can u understand my english?
Thank you KaLeun!
Ubisoft should pay you for this....
