The only comment that I received upon this was that Plissken has to decide (and he has already approved), but since then, nothing has been done.

I know first-hand that we have a real-life and this is only a hobby and I know every admin's excuse first-hand (I have done that job for more than 20 years now!), but no reaction from the moderator-staff for more than 2 weeks now is a bit...hm...weak?
Since you haven't mentioned it, I will: Urfisch updated the link on November 10th, eight days after the post I'm quoting.

I absolutly agree with your argumentation, Sailor Steve.

but the time between the post of mine that you quoted and Urfisch's change is not only 8 days, but almost 4 weeks, don't you think? (Post#245/Oct 15 to Nov 11).
Not at all. You quote a post and give a date of October 15. The post I quoted was made by you on November 2 (post #261). From November 2, when you made that post, to November 11, when Urfisch made his correction, was nine days (my mistake for miscounting by one), but certainly not four weeks.

I also agree with SS's argumentation. It is unethical. Some of us are used to different behaviour of admins from other forums where mails are subject to change all day long.
So you say now, but it was you who was trying to convince us to do the unethical thing.

On the other hand it would not have been such a big change, only a link update
Big or small, wrong is wrong. That may not matter to you, but it means a great deal to me, and to Neal, and I would hope to the whole Subsim staff.

But all is good now and it was not a big problem anyway.

Download and install FileZilla from here and try download it again.

Then download the File with FileZilla.

Tried to download MFM. The downloading process seems to be ok as it goes up to 99.9%. However, it brakes last second(s) giving the feeling like the file(s) is corrupted.

Could it be your anti-virus causing this? It's happened to me before and that was the culprit for me. Once I tried it with my AV disabled the download worked fine.

Man I have been gone so long.. My daughter is listening to like old 30s 40s music and nostalgia hit me. I was thinking of SH3.. I haven't been in these forums in over 7 years. Sorry to say I forgot. :nope: So with that I dug deep into my old box collection and found SH3. Open the box and found a bunch of old DVDs with alot of mods I have collected before 2007. But then I start reading here and found out alot has changed. :o I have been trying to catch up.. Jezz too many cool mods. At least SH3 works in windows 10 :rock:

The ftp is still buggy. Even though I no longer need to 'log in', I keep getting prompts every now and again. Currently, it refuses to let me download anything without logging in... even though I keep typing all the right stuff, it just keeps giving me the prompt.

Delete the cache of your Browser,if you still have Problems,then install FileZilla on your Computer,this should do it for you.

Don't click on the link to open it using a web browser like Google Chrome.
Instead, use an FTP Client like Filezilla.

For all who have Problems to get access to my Server with Firefox Browser,i have a tip for you.

In Firefox Browser go to Options,then to search for Add-Ons and search for FireFTP.

Install FireFTP as Add-On for Firefox Browser.

In the Options of FireFTP under "Look" check the Boxes "For FTP Links in FireFox automatic use FireFTP and "Use Passiv Mode for this Connection".

The Password is Woelfe

The Error Code 530 means,that your public IP Address is blocked by the Server for 24 Hours.You have to wait 24 Hours,before you can try to login again.

You can also use a Browser for the Login,you find the Links in my Signature,but do not use Chrome or Safari Browser for them.

I think the Problems comes from the last Update,that Synology has released for the Disk Station Manager of my NAS.

In my own Network i have no Problems,but the only thing i can do,is to wait for another Update that hopefully solve the Problem.

Maybe you can install FileZilla on your PC and try to login over the FTP Client.

There was no Update,but since the Night from Thursday to Friday my internet connection disconnect very often,and this happens for 3 days now.

This must be a Problem by my ISP Telekom Germany.Hope the Problem will end soon.


Before Thursday all was gone well.

Maximum number of tries exceeded means that your public IP Address is blocked for 24 Hours.

Maybe is my internet service. With opera on android with 4g data it opens, using wifi it doesn't.


UPDATE: WAS MY INTENET COMPANY BLOCKING THE HTP, WELL THIS AND I SUPPOST OTHER TOO.

I've shut down the server until further notice, there are problems with my internet connection downloading and uploading speed from my provider.

Have send a fault report to my provider at 03:15 am this morning.

Until the problems are resolved or can be resolved, the server will remain off.

2. Click on that Image.
3. In the next Window,you'll see 3 Main Categories (SH3 Main Mods, SH3 Modder and SH3 Misc.

If you know the mod name generally you are directed by Google to Subsim forums with threads listed regarding your search. A little digging most times provides the results of the mod author.
