Gunfighter, thank you for the compliment. I actually didn't want to age them because they reminded me of photos I'd seen in U-boat books. Granted, aging them definitely adds to the authenticity but sometimes just the stark black and white is cool too. I do like seeing your aged effects on your screenies, especially the added effects like the photo was burned or torn, very cool :up:

It was high time I gave my boat a touch of home. As I live in the county of Lippe (thus the rose) and as I can see the Herman-Monument from my home, I combined the two. Herman AKA Arminius devastated three roman legions here in AD 9. And I wouldn't recommend the Tommies to mess with the thorns of my rose ;)

The emblem is nice, but for the realism sake you should not use posters but something more like a drawing. Like a blade over a rose.

Yeah, I agree. It is too photorealistic maybe. I'll see what I can do.
On the other hand: Some of the malings (emblems) in stock-SH5 look pretty weird too.

Press Control + F11 for ScreenShot and there in SH5 file. Press Del on Keypad first to get rid of Hud and then Control + F11 press Del on Keypad to return Hud.

The 'He's Coming out of the Sun, Otto' in post 752 is probably one of the finest that I have seen. It must have been a real pain to maneuver for that shot. Well done, Gunfighter! I thought of starting threads like 'Tak plays xxxxx (using a number of games), but I cannot seem to equal you in screenshot ability. You and others have taken basic screenshots and made and art of them, even without the effects.

I did not know about the recent change re the internet hook up. However, much has been written about the game needing mod fixes to compete with SH4. I haven't kept up with that subject.

I only visit this thread to view the screen shots, some of which are remarkable.

Remember most(Not All) of the graphics have been photoshoped and filters added In This thread,but the graphics are Vgood and The Modders have made it awesome but you do need a conection to internet at start of game but it will continue if you disconect after that hope this helps you.

Ok. I made my DDS emblems but i can not resize them. I saw i must have the same size like ones from ,,a fistful of emblems,, but i am not able to resize my DDS emblems to 85.4 KB (87,536 bytes). I have ,, image convertor plus,, but with that i can resize only if i know the number of pixels or dimensions:

Resize pixel dimension (1-100)x(1-100) - percents

or

Resize pixel dimension (1-100)x(1-100) - pixels

Can you help me with that? What program you use to resize DDS files? Or maybe you knou what size (in pixels) are the DDS file from ,,a fistfull of emblems,,

I use Paint.net, but I´m sure that any pic editor can change the size of the emblem. As far as I remember, your emblem must be the same size in pixels (something like 250x250 or similar)

The cockpit appears too modern. The attack on the Bismark was by planes, launched from ships I believe. One of them dropped a torpedo which hit the Bismark's rudder, jamming it. But you probably know the story better than me. Weren't you flying that plane?:D

Its a mk1a spitfire cockpit, which i think would of been around when the Bismarck was sunk but whether one took place in the attack dont know.yes I was around too back then I was about 2yrs old I was flying nappies or should that be filling nappies:haha:

In 1941 they had Spitfire Mk Vs at hand, but none of them had the range to reach the area of the Bismarck battle. The only British planes in that region were were the Swordfish that made it possible for the battleships to catch her, and they flew off carriers, and long-range patrol planes such as the Catalina that found her in the first place.
