My math skills are..... CRAP! Would someone be able to dumb down the math on how to figure out the range to target. I am guessing that I put my crosshairs at the waterline, center mast. Then count the little things on the left and do some math to figure it out?
Also where do I get the height of the ship to begin with?
Why I never added this to the first post is beyond me;

target height x 1000 / measured mils (in low power)
target height x 4000 / measured mils (in high power)

Say a target has a mast that stands 30m above the water. Put the horizontal crosshair on the waterline and measure the top of the mast on the scale. Say the measured height is 20 mils in low power:

30 x 1000 / 20 = 30.000 / 20 = 1500m

80 mils in high power, same target:

30 X 4000 / 80 = 120.000 / 80 = 1500m

Not particularly user friendly, but workable.

Normally you would get the mast height from a recognition manual. I seem to recall the game lacks this data by default. A mod would be required that adds it (should be around).

aah, thank you. Took me a minute to figure out the = sign means to divide, but got that figured out. Now I just need to do some searching on an upgraded ship recognition booklet:)

Whew! ok after downloading a new mod to get mast hieghts and getting my wife to figure out that mills are by increments of 10.... Well my math skills suck lol!
But now I can get range to target! Thank you very much!

i dindt read right, is for sh5, but could be empolye in sh3 or is incompatible?

I seem to have a problem, the observation periscope is offset to the right. Is this intentional? im running TWoS, using the TDW compatible version.

Sorry to say but the mod causes problems in my game, when using it with silentmichals interior and with Rusted Glory, both full as well as lights only.

Do you have some files available of the mask overlays and the folder where I can replace them?

This a great mod! It does for SH5 what Max Optics and OTC did for SH4!
