Hi chaps,
I have been spending some time lately editing/combining the folowing two file sh3.sdl and commands.cfg. I have a "combined" sh3.sdl to work with 5 mods and a commads.cfg to works with several mods. These two files are very frequently modded it would seem.
my current combined sh3.sdl currently works with these mods.
Lifeboats and Debris,
Animated Sub Pens
British Asdic
Urfisch's new effects mod
FM's new interiors
my current combined commands.cfg (english) works with these mods.
FM's New Interiors
Anvart's Flags, Pennants, FuMO30 etc.
Opening Conning Tower
Part of the problem is identifying what's changed or been added to either/or of these files and it occured to me that it might be an idea to have a sticky thread where modders could post such changes with common frame of reference to the "vanilla" v1.4 versions. This would make the task very much easier.
I wish I had a knowledge of how to accomplish the same with dat files! :)
Just an idea,
Best Regards
Aces
Edit: Of course some modders provide this information in their documentation and/or produce fixes which is great and much appreciated but then a new "must have" mod comes along and it's back down to combining files. I enjoy enjoy getting mods to work together but sometimes the info isn't there to assist the process and remove much experimentation.
