First of all, seabed?
I think, if they hit you in the behind, it hurts, but if you don't feel behind, then it doesn't hurt, right?
:rotfl:
If I got it right..
Second, I enabled the whole community ships mod into gwx 3.0. Customized campaign script so that the full american roster of those ships invade st. nazaire in 1943. Done it two times on straight gwx 3.0 with interior hatch..
Every time campaign started normally..
First, they were too far, so there were occasional skirmishes, some fired up ships, some I hit with torpedo, and so on. Done that on 1-10 fps.. :rotfl: Computer froze when I watched one of those ships..
Second time, I have pu them almost into harbour, and made one "Kurita" unit outside harbour. All were in flames, some break up in two, on the side(shallow waters) and so on. 1-3 fps.. It was night, so those reflectors made playing nearly impossible.. I wanted to see them in the day, so I made tc 64, which got me ctd.
After all that, I don't know. Maybe that are those random ctd's privateer mentioned, maybe that happens because my computer is tired with my dday adventures. So, further tests are needed..
Since I am not shure if I want it, how about some other people's opinions if they tried it?
Any thoughts?
And some updates are needed for little camera mod and effects mod..
Other than that, have to say, gwx 3.0 scene is really looking great..
Question? Correct interior diving angles mod is incorporated into GWX, so that means it is also working with open hatches mod?

Yep... Currently, when I use it, I get a CTD when loading/starting a patrol.

It's normal:D :yep:
So all ship[s loading into RAM and videomemory (all textures). You CTD was so not all textures loading into videomemory and when program need - not find need files in RAM or videomemory and CTD. And more - CPU and using virtual memory another version you CTD. In CPU computer not speed working with many features and so RAM not enought made use virtual memory. Himself virtual memory place on HDD and have very slow speed work. Game made, that operations made from to in ... ms, in other CTD.
I have this problems when made War Elite v.2.0 and need find problem.

Denis,
The hardware requirements (ram, cpu, video card) are very, very low for GWX 3.0 with the community mod ships installed. I have added over 40 new ships to my GWX 3.0 installation and get very fast, smooth graphics on my three year old computer. The FPS is always above 100, even in large convoys and with enhanced damage effects on.
My obsolete PC only has 2gb of ram, 512mb of video ram, and an AMD 4400 cpu and the game runs very fast and smooth. You must have a very, very old machine to have a slow down running this game.
One of the great things about SH3 and GWX 3.0 is that the game does not require state of the art hardware to run well.

Ruzbasan, not forget about textures size. For example - you can summary all textures for all ships in you game and planes in game and land objects and more, more... And after it see in summary textures size and size you videomemory.
For example - as I remember textures folder in War Elite v.2.0 near 842 Mb plus near 900 Mb in textures in other folders. So not all textures work simously usually videomemory need as 1/2 from summary size all textures.
And, for example, you comp not work with War Elite so you not have enought videomemory.

Denis,
What are the specs of the PC you are running War Elite on?

Denis,

C2Q6600
2 GB RAM
2x512 MB video card
In computers with 768MB videomemory mod not work from 1943 year. So see above.

Not bad Denis
But remember SH3 only works on one core of a multicore processor
Your War Elite mod must be quite heavy on the system
GWX is tested on lesser computers than yours so all can play reasonably well
We didnt put the high res uboat skins on all the boats for that reason
No need for a 2048x2048 when a 512x512 will do
As well as putting skins back into dats so easier for game to find and load
Will have to take the time to download your War Elite one of these days

Very nice reading about why and what, guys.. That is ok explanation why there is a ctd with some combo mods..
But, I am still in the dark, since I didn't play much computer or sh3, do community ships work with 3.0 gwx or not?
:rotfl:
That was one of the aims of this thread, to find an answer to that question?
Ruzbasan, can you provide a list of those ships you added? :salute:

Okay-Here are the ships I added to GWX 3.0 Gold with JGSME. No CTD's and very smooth frame rate so far:
Community Units
American Ore Freighter 1.0
Arrow Tanker v 1.2
BB Warspite
Bittern Class Sloop
DDType-7
DDType-M
DDType-H
Empress of Britain Armed
New T-2 Tanker v1.0
NPL Hap
NPL Hos
NPL Kdf
Pasteur
Q-Ship Mod
Queen Elizabeth Armed
Queen Mary Armed
RM BB Duilio
RMS Laconia
RMS Titanic Armed
SS Normandie Armed
SS Rex Armed
TS Bremen
TT USS West Point
Community Units mod works perfectly with GWX3.0 Gold as long as you add it first with JSGME before you add the other ships.
