Try playing around with recoil_time and/or recoil_dist. The lower the values, the faster the ROF. Can't remember which one had the most profound impact. Could be one of them, or both.

Probably recoil time. I'll check and see.

There is if you use S3D, if you havent got it i'd suggest you get it now as its probably the best single SH4 modding tool since MiniTweaker... check throught the sim/zon files for the weapon involved to change various settings such as ammo amount / reload and other things :D

Clip size (i.e. how many bullets per clip) is defined in each gun's .sim file. Clip amount is defined in the.upc files (can't remember which one right now).

Right Dr. I see the value. I modded only the total ammo amount and the game engine dind't take the modification. I will change the clip size and/or the number of clips available:up:

.upc files are a bit dodgy...you might need to start a need career for the changes to register. Or, do the same changes to the upc file(s) in your savegame directory.

If you use S3D to moddify the Sim files on the gun in question..

A. make sure its the gun you use (single or double etc)
b. make sure you save the file
c. start a new game

If you do the above all should be well... I dont change the upc file amounts for clip size as this i found crashes the game when i do it, or has done in the past when i start the game or if it actually loads when i fire the weapon.

I would strongly suggest you leave the clip size alone and alter the sim file only with the ammount required.

Edits like this dont take effect unless you start a new mission/career etc. The reason is that "current" ammo amounts are stored in the save game files. Just an fyi on why a fresh game is required - or do the change in port.

@Taurolas: don't confuse clip size with amount of clips. Clip size is defined in the .sim file. ;)

@CaptainHaplo: what if you change the .upc files in the savegame folder? Will it still require a new career start?

Thanks a lot. I'm not playing sh4 at the moment because my pc is in poor status (I'm going to format and re install OS and everything else as soon as i get a few free hours). Once installed the game again i will follow your instructions.:sunny:

Hi!
S3D is the ultimate editing tool made for sh4. You can find it here:

enjoy!!

DRBeast - I have no clue if changing the upc files in the savegame would work or not. In theory it should. Although if you have defined a larger magazine - just use a program like artmoney to mod your shell loadout in game - never run out of ammo!
