View Full Version : No smoke with the exhaust smoke mod

Hello ,can somebody help me please , I downloaded some Exahust mods of Racerboy, but even if I downloaded a few of them for my 1.4b version of SH3 "IXD2 SH3 1.4b version" : http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/show...50&postcount=1 (http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showpost.php?p=647150&postcount=1)

There is no smoke coming out from the exhaust pipeline of the sub:-? ,I downloaded three of them for IXD2 etc etc , after that I unzipped and installed into the generic mod enabler ,later shift this mod from the left side of the mod enabler to the right side . later start the SH3 game with this specific IXD2 sub, but was no smoke :hmm: , can you help me please ,

did you add the correct folder into JSGME...? I had no problems with it...

Make sure you move only the folder inside the zip file that starts with "Racerboy_". If you miove the folder that starts with "RB_" the mod won't work.

Hi, thank you for the answer , yes I installed inside the generic mod enabler the RB_ folder , but where is the folder that start with "Racerboy " ? , thank you for your help:up:

I wish I could give you an answer but I haven't played multiplayer at all. Hopefully someone who has can answer this question for you. Glad to hear you got it working :D

I wish I could give you an answer but I haven't played multiplayer at all. Hopefully someone who has can answer this question for you. Glad to hear you got it working :D

ALL players in that MP game will need that mod enabled as it changes dat files

I already check ,yes is working fine online multiplayer this mod :up: , even if the other players dont have this exhaust smoke Mod ,This Mod is a MUST HAVE , EXCELLENT :up: ,Very well Done RACERBOY :up:

Who ever you play MP with with need the same mods, or no mods enabled in order to play together...without CTD as BBW said
I although have found in MP that I can add in as a mod using JSGME, my sub ( and the others sub if you wish to see something other than stock, or what they are piloting), OLC's GUI, and also GWX Cpt americas Icons...and I will still be able to play or host even though the other player doesn't have those mods

As a rule of thumb, texture mods & sound mods can be used in MP without other having them. But of course, if the texture mod modifies the DAT files, then it's a no no.

Graphics mods dont generally matter in MP
Sounds can do
Dat changes do
As do menu.ini changes etc

The only 100% surefire way of conducting a problem free MP game, is for everyone invilved to have an identical set up.....and the only way I know is if NOBODY has anything extra installed.
I have hosted games on a server for nigh on 2 years now, and believe you me, the law of Murphy has a nasty habit of taking effect :doh:
