View Full Version : [TEC] Standard Names used in DAT files(?)
Is there a list someplace of such names? Maybe people who know could chime in and make a FAQ.
For example, _cos is a funnel. Cabina seems to be the bridge. I guess if I knew rumanian I'd be golden, lol.
Any standard stuff would be cool to have in one place though. For example on the stack on Minekaze, if you delete the appropriate cos chunk, the top half of the stack goes away. Is there a standard nomenclature used for the bottom half of a stack?
That sort of thing.
For SH3:
shipname_ShipWake = shipwake
shipname_siajF = bow right splash
shipname_siajF2 = bow left splash
shipname_siajB = stern splash (splashing water above propeller)
... _siajF01 = Submarine bow splash (right)
... _siajF01_02 = Submarine bow splash (left)
... _siajF02 = Submarine bow splash
... _siajF02_b = Submarine bow splash
... _siajB = Submarine stern splash
... _siajC = Submarine CT splash
... _siajC_b = Submarine CT splash

Yeah!
That's what I wanted to see.

Maybe i something have forgotten...:hmm:
I am seeing stuff like this on ships:
cablu_01, cablu_02, cablu_03, etc
catarg_B, catarg_F
cirma
elice01, elice02, etc
barca_01, etc
cos = funnel (top part, anyway)
cabina = bridge (on DD, anyway)
--------------------------------------
As an aside, this is interesting. The Kasagisan has an entry labeled NMFMSSS_baarca01
every other ship is barca01, 02, etc. Would a typo in this label present any problems with the model?

Heheh, having fun with Romanian dictionary. Words from DAT files I found:
barca = boat
elice = propeller
carma = helm (saw a carma someplace I think) (have to try deleting it someplace, maybe a wheelhouse?)
catarg = mast
cablu = cable (rigging?)
macara = crane
vela = sail
schela = scaffolding (?)
You show conditional names...
In my first reply (red) are shown hardcoded (standard) names ... i think ...

BirouStrech , a long writing implement maybe .
Y0_ nodes are used for the AMC's funnel.
That might be useful to know!
