Hi All,

I had this problem since SH4 came out and waited thinking that it was going to be fixed by now...guess I was wrong.

The triagle that turns green when locked, is not what I think it should be.

I thought when my heading is at 0 degrees + or - that is when the triangle turns green, but it turns green when I have a heading of 0 degrees + or - and the target ship is 20 degrees left of my heading. Not straight ahead. I know there is a few degrees left or right from 0 degree heading, but 20 degrees is way off. :damn: :damn:

Is there a modder out there that would be willing to fix this? :p

The triangle turns green when the target is at it's best position for a good shooting solution for your torpedo. Speed of target is also a factor that determines at what angle from your sub the torpedo has to travel. Therefore as soon as it's green, it's the best time to lauch your torps.

actually you have quite a few colors that change with target speed and angles.

red is indicating no probability of hitting target

orange is low probability of hitting target

light green is a high probability of hitting target

dark green is perfect alignment and should be assured of hitting target

taking into considerations of random torps running wild (off target)

the targetting triangle is nothing more than a guage of how accurate the auto targetting will be, so a 90 degree angle shot is very possible even if unlikely.
