Default NYGM's Elco with Depth Charges!!

Now lets be honest here, the Elco will be a next to useless depth charge platform... But not totally useless.

I think in Real the last Crewman on the Gun would just stand up and throw the Charges overboard.

Is that Elco with Depth Charges Realistic? Will they use them? I think they won't use them without sensors, but they had none AFAIK. Maybe Simulate Guessing with a new very Poor hydrophone sensor?

They carried many combinations of weapons and depth charges were one configuration.

They will occassionally drop on your last know location. So for 99% of the time they will be a very poor platform.

But for the times that your periscope is sighted because you just had to have a peek.... :rotfl:

They were actually mounted sideways on small launchers (see the first link showing the DC-carrying Vosper).

They weren't meant to be used against submarines. They were to discourage destroyers from chasing them.

Yeah, and since destroyers are pretty vulnerable when submerged in the first place, I imagine it worked quite well [/smartass:p]
