Default Royal Dutch Navy Diesel Sub "Walrus" documentary "Onder Zee"

During the past 2 months RTL 7 (Dutch TV channel) aired an 8 episode documentary "Onder Zee" (Under Sea) about the daily life aboard the Royal Dutch Navy submarine Walrus. After recently having underwent major overhauls they go on their first shakedown cruise along the coast of Norway, Shetlands, Scotland, Irish Sea and back to home port through the Channel to Den Helder. All along the 8 week cruise crew and equipment gets tested to exhaustion: fire drills, air and water leakage drills, mechanical failure drills... it doesn't matter, the tactical show must go on! As does studying for your Flipper-exam. Or Bingo.

Walrus vs. HMS Astute: 2-0

I guess it will be hard to follow if you do not understand spoken Dutch. As there are no subtitles, and they use quite a bit of native naval lingo. But you should get a good idea of the tension on board when the going gets tough. If you want to know what is said during specific parts of the episodes just state the time-mark. I'll try to translate. But it won't be a full transcript.
