Default Minor Fix for No Magic Skills and Equipment Upgrade

Since for me this is the correct order for users using these mods:

No magic Skills v1.5 MCCD compatible
MightyFine Crew Mod 1.2.1 Alt faces
Equipment_Upgrades_Fix_v1_4_byTheBeast
Equipment_Upgrades_Fix_v1_4_Patch_1
Equipment_Upgrades_Fix_v1_4_Patch_1_HotFix
Equip_Upgrades_Fix_1_4_Patch_1_AFFOE_151
MCCD_1.04_MFCM_1.2.1_compatible

The reason I have them in this order is allows the MCCD commands to all show up, and you get the additional sounds with them. The MCCD_1.04_MFCM_1.2.1_compatible will overwrite the Dialogs.tsr but its ok because it has all of them and more.

I put No magic Skills first so the UPCLocalization.tsr doesn't overwrite the equipment upgrade, if you do it after there well be no info text on equipment in bunker.

The one problem I found is that with the Equipment upgrade, when it overwrites No magic Skills in game they don't show up. So what I had to do was replace the old skills in the UPCLocalization.tsr and replace them with the new ones. Now everything works fine.

I've uploaded the new UPCLocalization.tsr:
http://www.mediafire.com/?83f52fe32u3j8rp

Just add into your Equipment_Upgrades_Fix_v1_4_Patch_1 mod and you can put it in game folder if you have all these mods activated and don't wish to deactivate them to get this to work. Make sure you back up the UPCLocalization.tsr from Equipment_Upgrades_Fix_v1_4_Patch_1 and in game. I would replace both if you have mod activated already, this way it shows up in game and in future if you deactivate the mod and reactivate it, the fix will still be there.

This is what was done,
UPCLocalization.tsr from No magic Skills v1.5 MCCD compatible:

; used for CrewMemberDescription
Crew-Member-Kurt-Faust-Description=Kurt was born and raised in Hamburg, and joined the Kriegsmarine when he was 16. He is confident and a ladies man. He always hides dirty magazines and collects American pin-ups. His nickname, "steck sie rein", means "put her in", and refers to the torpedoes he loads, but of course it's also a sexual innuendo. He always has a dirty joke to tell and often makes fun of the younger crew, especially Benno. Kurt is not a real Nazi, but gets a kick out of sinking other ships.

Crew-Member-Wili-Pelz-Description=Willi was born and raised in Munich, Bavaria, where he began his training as an engineer for BMW motor works. But when his family moved to Kiel at the age of 17, he found a new passion: Boats! So going to the navy and becoming an engineer was a clear path for him. He first worked on regular boats, but since being promoted to Chief Mechanic was easier on a submarine, he ended up joining the U-boats. Willi loves his engines more than his friends. He loves the grease, the smell, and the noise. He has lost one fingertip to his engines and has a cut below his eye from repairs. Willi is highly dependable and quite innovative when it comes to increasing the boat's performance. He is a passionate gambler and loves to play cards. The only thing he hates is to lose. Willi wants to win the war, but is not pro Nazi.

Crew-Member-Herbert-Heine-Description=Born and raised in Marburg to six siblings and very strict parents, Herbert is a descendent of the famous German poet Heinrich Heine. Being the oldest of 4 brothers and two sisters, Herbert was forced into responsibility at a young age. He acquired good organization and people skills, but was never able to explore his creative side. His parents were poor, leaving a military career as his only option. Deep in his heart he wishes to be a poet like his famous great grandfather. He writes poems secretly on the side, yet never dares to show them to anybody, especially not the crew which needs to respect him as a tough Bosun.

Crew-Member-Olaf-Hacklander-Description=Olaf grew up under impoverished circumstances. His family lost everything after WWI. His father blamed the British and the treaty of Versailles, fueling anti-English sentiment in the young Olaf. Olaf wanted to join the Kriegsmarine, but didn***8217;t meet the physical requirements, so he became a cook instead. Olaf is pro Germany, perhaps a bit pro Nazi, and wants payback against the British. His personal hobby is playing the violin as poorly as he cooks, which gets him into constant trouble with the Bosun.

Crew-Member-Josef-Erdmann-Description=Josef is just a good, hard working guy. He has a friendship with the Captain and speaks openly with him. Josef is also very grounded, hence his name Erdmann (which translates to earthman). Josef is an excellent LI, very creative and hands on. Josef is not pro war at all, and feels very responsible for his crew. He has a wife and son and he just wants to end this war so his son never has to fight in his life. He has a weak spot for sweets and candy.

Crew-Member-Erich-von-Dobenecker-Description=Erich is a career navy officer who recently graduated from the Marine Schule Flensburg-Mürwik, the school that both his father and Karl Dönitz graduated from. Dobenecker***8217;s father and Dönitz have been long time friends, both encouraging Erich to a career in the Kriegsmarine. But when Erich lost an eye during a training exercise at school, his naval career seemed over before it started. However, thanks to his father's close relationship with Dönitz, Erich still graduated and was assigned to be XO on a U-boat. Erich is extremely loyal to his father and to Dönitz, as well as being very pro Nazi. Of course, he also wants to prove himself.

Crew-Member-Emil-Dubler-Description=Emil is the oldest crew member on the ship. He has already served on a submarine in WWI. After the war, he had trouble returning to a civilian life, and never really integrated. (He was forced to work for the Allies, who demoralized him completely.) He began to drink and served as a navigator on smaller freighters. Now, with a new war on the horizon, Emil thinks he can re-write history and finally see his beloved Germany win. He identifies with Hitler's vision of punishing the victors of WWI for what they had done to the Germans. Emil is usually very quiet and a little nerdy. He keeps to himself, but does occasionally drink. He is an excellent navigator and brings a lot of experience to the table. They call him the dinosaur, because he is a relic from WWI.

Crew-Member-Benno-Scheu-Description=Benno is really still just a boy. He joined the navy after his father felt he was too much of a "mama's boy". Benno is a very sensitive guy, and not tough like the rest of the U-boat crew, which often makes him a victim of their comments or harassments. Benno doesn't really have any friends on the sub, and tries to avoid the rest of the crew. Bosun looks after him, but can't always keep him from getting harassed. Benno always writes letters to his mother, which of course provides even more fodder for the crew when found. Benno begins to cry if his stress is too high.

Crew-Member-Wolfram-Raabe-Description=Wolfram has always had a passion for radios. He loves technology and is also very innovative. He is the second youngest crew member on board, and still transitioning from boyhood to manhood. His ears are excellent, but his ability to handle stress is not. Wolfi is respected by the crew simply because they know their lives depend on him, so he is often spared harassment. Wolfi is usually very professional, but can also be quite stubborn, and he doesn't shy away from fighting if necessary. His father passed away at an early age, so he was raised by his older brother and mother. He joined the navy after he was recruited at an event. Wolfi is not a Nazi, but believes it is his duty to serve his fatherland.

Crew-Member-Dieter-Epp-Description=Enthusiastic, a bit inexperienced, but brave and ready to jump into battle. He respects us as captain and loves to play jokes, especially on the uptight XO. He always plays tricks on the crew, and often gets into trouble with the Bosun for it. He is somehow opportunistic and also a bit racist. There is one thing he hates though. If you shorten his name to Depp (which means idiot in German) he gets very upset. He thinks it's not funny and begins to pout.

Crew-Member-Max-Bauer-Description=Born and raised in Wilhelmshaven to a father who worked in the docks. An amateur boxer, he is like a force of nature. Not the sharpest tool in the shed, but very physical, strong, and athletic. Before he joined the navy he dreamed of becoming a professional boxer, but he got a girl pregnant, had to marry her and needed to make money, so he joined the navy. He is rather quiet, and only comes to life when talking about boxing. He is a skilled gunner, though politically unmotivated, but doesn***8217;t feel like he has a choice about the war.

Upack20mmSingle-Notes=This recoil-operated air-cooled automatic gun is one of the most used weapons in the German arsenal. It can fire either high explosive (HE) or armor penetration (AP) rounds. This version of the single mounting has the disadvantage of not being very effective against aircraft, since one hit does not guarantee destruction of the target.

Upack20mmSingleImp-Name=Improved 2cm Flak 30
Upack2x20mmSingleImp-Name=Two Improved 2cm Flak 30
Upack20mmSingleImp-Info=Caliber: 2 cm|Elevation: -2 to +90 degrees|Rate of fire: 160 rounds/min|Ammo weight: 0.32 kg|Magazine size: 30 rounds|Reload rime: 5.0 seconds|Breech: Automatic|Maximum range: 4,800 meters
Upack20mmSingleImp-Notes=This recoil-operated air-cooled automatic gun is a upgrade to one of the most used weapons in the German arsenal. It can fire either high explosive (HE) or armor penetration (AP) rounds. This version of the single mounting has the disadvantage of not being very effective against aircraft, since one hit does not guarantee destruction of the target.

Upack20mmTwin-Name=2cm Flak 38 Twin
Upack20mmTwin-Info=Caliber: 2 cm|Elevation: -2 to +90 degrees|Rate of fire: 400 rounds/min|Ammo weight: 0.32 kg|Magazine size: 20 (40 total)|Reload time: 5.5 seconds|Breech: Automatic|Maximum range: 4,800 meters

Upack20mmVierling-Info=Caliber: 2 cm|Elevation: -2 to +90 degrees|Rate of Fire: 800 rounds/min|Ammo Weight: 0.32 kg|Magazine Size: 20 (80 total)|Reload Time: 5.5 seconds|Breech: Automatic|Maximum Range: 12,350 meters
Upack20mmVierling-Notes=The 2 cm Flakvierling 38 consists of quad-mounted 2 cm Flak 38 AA guns with collapsing seats, folding handles, and ammunition racks. It is best used against low-flying aircraft, although it can prove just as effective against other targets.

Upack37mmSingle-Name=3.7cm Flak C30
Upack37mmSingle-Info=Caliber: 3.7 cm|Elevation: -9 to +85 degrees|Rate of Fire: 30 rounds/min|Ammo Weight: 2.1 kg|Magazine Size: 1|Breech: Semi-automatic|Maximum Range: 8,500 meters
Upack37mmSingle-Notes=This high-velocity gun is best used for close-range AA engagements and against low armored surface vessels. Although more powerful than the 20mm, this gun has the disadvantage of being semi-automatic, with a maximum rate of fire of 30 rounds per minute.

Upack37mmImpSingle-Name=3.7cm Flak 42
Upack37mmImpSingle-Info=Caliber: 3.7 cm|Elevation: -10 to +90 degrees|Rate of Fire: 180 rounds/min|Ammo Weight: 2.1 kg|Magazine Size: 6|Breech: Automatic|Maximum Range: 6,600 meters
Upack37mmImpSingle-Notes=An improvement over the Flak 30, the model 42 is recoil-operated and is fed by a 6-round belt, trading off the overall projectile range and muzzle velocity.

Upack88mmDG-Notes=The 8.8 is the main U-boat gun for surface engagements. It is able to fire AP or HE rounds against surface vessels, but cannot be used against aircraft thanks to its limited 30 degree elevation. Installing this weapon will trade some of the U-boat's underwater speed and dive time for increased firepower.

Upack105mmDG-Name=10.5cm Deck gun
Upack105mmDG-Info=Caliber: 10.5 cm|Elevation: -10 to +30 degrees|Rate of fire: 15 rounds/min|Ammo weight: 11 kg|Stowed ammunition: Normally 220 round but your crew was able to make room for a few extra rounds|Breech: Semi-automatic|Maximum range: 11,950 meters (at 30 deg)
Upack105mmDG-Notes=The 10.5 is the U-boat gun for tough surface engagements. It is able to fire AP, HE or AA rounds against surface vessels, but can not be used against aircraft thanks to its limited 30 degree elevation. Installing this weapon will trade some of the U-boat's underwater speed and dive time for increased firepower.

Hi

Great job Raven

But if you want there is a way to activate more coatings,
by activating them into the file coatings.GR2
there not to far, a dozen "suffix" possible
and a lot of work in the UPCE, and other menus,
to make them work properly,
I'm trying, but I give up, due to time constraints

Hi

It's pretty simple to add coatings

Open with goblin editor, the file data/objects/sensors/coatings.gr2, and merge the coatings.sim

after you need to create or rename the coating texture with the same suffix at the end and editing the file "UpgradePacks"-"Equipment"-"Page WeaponsAndSensors" to enable it in game

See I couldn't figure out yesterday what was needed, it was because all mine are all ready active.

I am using the latest Equipment Upgrade patch and hot fix, the only thing different I do separate from everyone else, is I merged all 3 in 1. I combined The Equipment upgrade with patch and hot fix into one folder. I tend to do that with some mods that have patches, this way it saves on number of mods to load. But I don't see how that would make a difference.

Ok this is weird I download All 3 Equipment Upgrades just now, and the coating is like yours. I don't know how or where my coatings is different then yours and the downloads. Let me try to find out.

Yeah, Equipment_Upgrades_Fix_v1_4_Patch_1 fixes it. You might not have it.
