Default So, what did you guys get for crimbo?

Merry Christmas peeps, hope everyone's having a good day
So, what did Santa bring all you good boys and girls this year? lol

My pick of the bunch: a nice shiny TrackIR 5 system, Assassins Creed Revelations, Ace Combat Assault Horizon and some rather nice Armani Code aftershave plus the usual choccy

So far, nothing but a great deal of food and spening 3 days with family.
I am thoroughly pleased.

  • Cash
  • A book called "Rata" (=track, as in railroad track) by Antti Tuuri. About a sabotage mission to cut off the Murmansk railway and destroy the station at Maj Guba during the Continuation War.
  • Another book about Mannerheim called Mannerheim - Tuttu ja Tuntematon

That's about it.

EDIT: Oh and mom bought me a 42" telly in early December.

New mountainbike. 100 bucks in my steam wallet. A new drill and sawzall.
A keg-erator, and a bottle of Johhny Walker Black label, from the in laws.

About to dig on some swine, and make the family laugh as me and my cousins play the dozens.

Someone will fart at the dinner table, all the men will laugh, while the women cringe. We will then get drunk.

I love this time of year.

Nothing.
My family and I have decided that we won't take part in the annual commercial party anymore.
I'm no Christian but the commercialising of Christmas here in Germany makes me sick. It's all just about presents and nothing more anymore.
Want the text of a radio commercial spot from over here?
"Christmas will be decided under the tree!" As if this was a competition.

Sorry for derailing that thread and breaking the mood, but I just had to let off some steam.

Dowly is spot on.

Books for Chrimbo, mainly: A new hardback about Drusus the elder, A book about the development of Graphic art in totalitarian regimes, and a copy of 'First Team' about naval air combat in the early Pacific war. Also bought myself a handful of games during the ongoing Steam sale.
