Default [WIP] Das Only Open Bunker In Existance

Or Doobie as I call it.

What it is:
The start of opening the Bunker to walkabout in for one thing.
It is most important as a proving ground for a few Tools and techniques that will finally allow massive modifications to existing GR2 files.
Or the creation of NEW GR2 files.

It is the preview of nearly 1.5 years of messing about and learning and searching for Tools that work with SH5.

Once a bit more testing is completed by the Primary tester and approved?
I'll need a few more testers.

Once they spend some time with it?
I'll start the release of information and Tools links.

That's very cool dude, well done.

Have you experimented much with the animation side of things in gr2 so far?

In the Bunker Video if you pay attention you'll see alot of errors with the Models.
You can see Sky where some faces are flipped,
part of a wall has faces flipped,
A step ladder laying on it's side that does not touch the floor,
and some missing textures it seems on a few objects.
(Of course We were never suppose to see these areas!)

And where I moved the gate there is still a shadow from the textureing that needs fixed.

I've not done much with animations yet.
But I plan to have the Gate clickable to pass it.

Hi privateer!

Very nice video indeed!

BTW, can you tell me please what is this for a nice Background-Music? What is this for a song and by whom?

Best regards,
Magic

Magic,

The first song is "I'm not Jesus",
by Apocalyptica featureing Corey Taylor from SlipKnot.

The second song is "Veteran of Psychic Wars",
Originally by Blue Oyster Cult,
this version is performed by Tarot.

Both Bands are Finnish by the way.
To me it just seems they have the Old School Heavy Metal thing I love.

I've seen several AO maps that will remove the shadow for the removed Gate.
Those can be adjusted.
Watch for open Sky showing.
Those I need to flip the faces for.

All this so far is done in a hex editor.
The biggest difference?
The CRC has been adjusted to allow GrannyViewer to open it!

In SH5 the Devs for some reason, saw fit to exclude the CRC check.
I would like to think they saw limitations if it remained and did this purposely.
But I have no official statement to that fact from them.

I only bother to correct the CRC as it's much easier to work with Granny Viewer then Goblin.
GrannyViewer provides the information needed to edit things at the base level.
