One of the classics is probably the intro to FFVII, probably one of the most overrated FFs, but it's a good intro:

The intro to RA2 was awesome too:

And, although not an intro, the Battle of New York in World in Conflict cutscene was pretty damn awesome:

Also, the intros for War of the Worlds...because I'm kinda bias:

Final Fantasy IX...you kinda have to play the game to understand this, but it was a pretty big "Oh...plot twist." moment:

Oh, yeah.

The first part of the . The second part is too cliche to be awesome, but it does feature a gnome (Or not) in a fancy suit.

And for a cutscene, !

As Oberon said, the WiC New York cutscene was just stunning.

Also the Battle of Ostagar from Dragon Age Origins could rival LOTR, just awesome, it always makes me shiver slightly when they charge with all the arrows flying through the air, and the music is brilliant!

Not really cutscenes but:

The 30 Seconds to Mars 'This Is War' trailer for DAO is pretty good too

The Heavy Rain Gamescom trailer, the music on this ('Mars' from Audio Network) is quite frankly one of the most moving pieces of music I've ever heard.

My favour intros mostly come from Warhammer games,

I find there quality unmatched. Dispite how the game turns out there vids tend to be awesome.

Warhammer Mark of Chaos

There just damn good.

Its hard to pick because I like many classic ones too. Problem is there graphics are low budged to todays standards.
