Default Old Bubble Head aboard

For my first post I would like to say hi. I have been struggling with SubSims since GATO came out for MSDOS. I bought a copy of SH when it first went on sale many years ago and have had SHII and SHIII since. I am now playing the Grey Wolf modifiied SHIII which is very addictive and enjoyably accurite.
I actually spent time at sea on both destroyers and subs. I'm an exnavy machinist mate nuke and served on board the USS Nathan Hale (ssbn 623) Blue crew from 1970 until 1973. I have been infatuated with submersibles since my preteens. But to be completely honest, I have a few glitches in the game or computer which I cannot fix on my own. I have never been able to run any UBI sims without problem. Hopefully you guys can help. I will be more specific when the time comes. So for now, I hope to not be too much bother.

Welcome aboard.

Plenty of folks around here that would be happy to help with glitches.

Thanks for the welcomes. Now where do I start? SH3 just crashed again for the third time today. It died twice yesterday and once the day before. This has been my experience with all three Silent Hunter Sims. I get into a hot and heavy battle and the game deep sixes on me. It only happens after I rack up some good scores.

I just built this computer with a new mother board, cpu, power supply and 4 megs of memory running off a 160 gig IDE. It is spec'd out to run SH5. OS is XP Pro

I think it's better to ask that question in the Silent Hunter III forum section.
