Il guess you will be confused by the [YCFS].
It simply means You Can Fix Self. And i think its a valid term to use. SH5 have so many small bugs and we are many modders that change settngs in different parts and its easy to overlook some small bugs and some are so small so its not even worth to do a mod for it. And if there is other mods that use same file, they will overwrite it. So instead of releasing a mod i will describe what to change in easy steps. 1. I found a bug in the zones.cfg file. The conning tower for the submarine have 2000 hitpoints, l guess the devs have putted an extra zero in it. 2. To change it, Open sh5/data and look for the zones.cfg file and open whit notepad. Scroll down to about 50% in the file and look for where UBoat Items starts. Look up [TowerWatch] Multiplier=1.000000 Flotability=0.000000 HitPoints=2000 Destructible=No Armor Level=6.5 Critic Flotation=0.05 Critical=No FloodingTime=59.999996 CargoType=None Change Hitpoints=2000 to 200. And save the file. Vikinger.

Thanks! I have 2000 in mine, and I'm using the Silent Hunter 5 US retail version.
![]() I wonder if this should be in a JSGME mod, though: JSGME will tell us if a new mod we install changes zones.cfg. If we just edit the file it will be forgotten about by the next time we install a new mod. |

Its meant to be self_do_the _job.
![]() To create a jsgm file create a folder whit "yourmodname" In that, make a folder named to; data and in data put you zone.cfg file full path will be "yourmodname"/data And just put that in the MODS folder and activate via JSGME But i can put up a file for dl for this small bug fix if you wish.

The zero might be there "on purpose". If you don't have it, maybe your game is not patched?

I dont think so. my game is patched and are an validated copy of the game.
And the small bug is not a game breaking thing, it just make your conning tower to be more or less indestructable.
