Default [REL] Merchant SpeedSolver Quick Chart

For those of you who dont have a second computer and who dont like to ALT-TAB to use the speed solver utitly in my "Solution Solver" program. I took the ship lengths and wrote a dirty little program to precompute the values for a range of speeds and times for common merchants. I didn't include speeds lower than 5kts, as they take to long to time. At such slow speeds, you should have no problem getting to within 800m and just shooting from the hip no matter what the starting intercept is.

Usage is the same as the speed solver:
Time the target as it passes through your scope's vertical line.

.ie Cimmaron Class Tanker:
30 seconds from Bow to Stern through the vertical line in the scope = 9kts.

IMPORTANT:
1. Sub MUST be stopped if the scope is NOT at the 000 bearing when timing. If the sub is moving you have to keep scope at 000. Point the sub towards the target just prior to starting the countdown. You have to cancel out your scopes relative movement.

2. Accuracy depends on AOB. Try to do it within 60-120 AOB for best results.

3. Do NOT move the scope once the countdown begins.

All times are rounded to the nearest half second (.ie 4.44 seconds is 4.5 in the chart, while 4.20 seconds is 4 in the chart)

Note: I have the values already precomputed for EVERY ship. I didn't put them all because i wanted it to fit on a single printed page. I may do another chart for escorts. And maybe another one for Big Warships soon.

If you notice a ship that should be on here.. lemme know. I may have been too quick when cutting out all the other ship types and chopped one out that should be here.

Using the above chart and an AOB wheel i made (it's a spitting image of the wheel in the solution solver, only it's a physical object).. I dont have to do any plotting or stadimeter reading to setup a solution.

AOB wheel gets me into ideal position.
Chart gets me the speed.
Eyeball or Stadimeter ONLY to know when im in ideal torpedo range (i dont find it accurate it to bother with for any other purpose).

Once i set the AOB and speed, i slew my periscope so that the torpedo doesn't turn (look at the TAI map). With the scope in this position.. the range does not matter.

*Note to devs* We need a gyro indicator!!

I play with no map contacts, and rarely do i ever miss.

I find it hard to belive no-one found this useful.

You can get speed in like 30 seconds without plotting a thing. Guess there aren't enough "No map contacts" users out there.

Thanks for this update. I would bet that as the tools start coming out, and the TDC is fixed more people will get away from map contacts.
This is the first SH game I have used map contacts in since the stadimeter, and general speed gathering is either broken, or very very random.

Very nice. Maybe it's time for me to try some higher realism settings, with this nice chart in hand.
