Default [REL] Ship End

I was bored i wanted to do some programming, this is a mod, or a program that mods the campaign files, when you sink a ship listed in the program database x times (I.e. 1 for the Yamato, or 2 or 3 for other battleship i don't know), it will replace that ship with a random choice also in the database, and you will not see it again until the end of the campaign.

I tested sinking a kongo and replacing it with a Takao or a Furutaka and worked, but the program may contain some bugs or create ones, if you like to test, make a backup copy of your entire 'Campaign' Folder, i think it works but i dont want to broke anyones career.
I have little idea of what kind of ship put in replacement of sunk one. If some is interested in this mod and want to do a list i need help because i have no knowledge on Japanese task forces.

I made the proper historical entries in the database, now is full functional.
If it works as expected, next releases will be done only for bug fix.

Thank you for your patience, if you downloaded the first 'test' versions.

I'm using RSRD, and tested only with this mod, but i think there should be no problems with others campaigns.

I hope you like it.

Uploaded again with some errors fixed.

Started a new career in Manila, before i added 2 Docked task forces 1 with a Kongo and another with a Ise.
Kongo with 1 max sunk and Ise with 2 max.

First patrol i sunk both
Second patrol the kongo wasn't there anymore but the Ise yes as expected, i sunk it.
Third patrol Ise was replaced.

Now, one thing i saw is you cannot replace a ship, if it have an AppearanceDate higher than your current career date, the same if the DisappearanceDate is earlier than the current career date. The game won't crash, but the replacement ship is not going to be there.

Seems to work well for now.

Can assist me with the list?
For now i want to put in the list the big ships, battleships and big carriers.
I need to know how many of those existed, I know there was only 1 yamato, but i dont know about the others, or all were unique?

Thank you in advance.

There were two Yamato-class battleships [Yamato, Musashi] or three if you count the carrier converted Shinano.

This site will help you find the info you are looking for.

Great application by the way.
