Default [REL] FlagOnTurm & DFa_UpDnRotSMC_1.1

Mod file DFa_UpDnRot_Flags_fin2.7z ... size ~17 MB.

This mod (very simple mod) is for SH3 ver. 1.4b game with GWX 3.0 mod.

This cumulative mod is contained two mods ... DFa_UpDnRotSMC_1.1 and FlagOnTurms.
This mod is made for all human sub Turms for GWX 3.0 mod.
In this mod we can control rotation, raising/lowering of DF antenna and raising/lowering
of Flag on sub turms ... using new StateMachine Classes... and using next commands:
1) DF Antenna Raising and rotation beginning - keys Shift+V ...
2) DF Antenna Rotation stop and lowering - keys Ctrl+V ...
3) DF Antenna Rotation stop and lowering - for commands:
Crash_dive
Periscope_depth
Snorkel_depth
Dive
Set_depth
4) Raising flag - keys Shift+F ...
5) Lowering flag - keys Ctrl+F ...
Note: Commands Raising/Lowering flag work if the Watch Officer is on the bridge.

In this version (Fin2) by default used SH4-Style Flags ...
and are added random animations for imitation of search of DF antenna...
and stock small errors for Turm2D_1 and Turm2D_2 are corrected ...

Installation:
Using JSGME ...
Unpack DFa_UpDnRot_Flags_fin2.7z file in MOD folder.
To attach to game as last mod...
In archive there is additional folder StockStyle_Flag, in it there are two folders
(NormFLagAnim and SlowFLagAnim) with different speeds of animations of Stock-Style flags
... connect any as mod after the main (DFa_UpDnRot_Flags_fin2.7z) mod.

His S3D tool successfully expand (supplement) HexEditor.
S3D accelerates editing of files content ... especially object-animation, flag mesh animations
and StateMachine System files ...
The visual control through S3D Viewer allows to place objects quickly ... and so on ...

Used terms (in *.eqp files):
1) GE_subFLG --> German Military Flag
2) GE_subCFLG --> German Civil Flag
3) GE_St_subFLG --> German Military Flag on stick
4) GE_St_subCFLG --> German Civil Flag on stick

Special note:
For compatibility with single missions (in companies all OK), (here and there) i have applied flag with stick
even if on turm there is flagspole ...
and ...
This mod is compatible with FM30_UpDown_final.7z mod.
I convincingly recommend to use this mod with FM30_UpDown_final mod together!

Thank you very much Anvart, it works beautifully. Is there any way that you could incorporate Privateer's Turm7C Your Way and or Turm 7B Your Way so that it would be possible to have Turm embems as well?.

Hi Anvart,

I haven't seen him for a while either. I was just wondering if the mods could be combined as they can't be used together as they both alter the turm 7 .dat files.

I know that he planned to add the flag etc. to his mod but he's not been around for while and I'm sure that there are others who would love to see these two excellent mods combined.

Anvart, this is amazing! It will add that extra touch to the realism, especially only having the flag up when we want it up, like entering and leaving harbors.

Tested it in conjuction with your radar antenas mod. All ok, really great mod, a must have. Only the radar antena that don't go down automatically when i ordered PD. I will post this issue on the correct radar mod thread.

Edited: just more two things (feedback) :
1. perhaps the flag movement/annimation (wind effect) is too much? I guess that it could be a bit less quick. Anyway, just my taste, not important.
2. If I forget to up my DF antena - will this have any effect on the game radio contact detection or is just an eye candy? (I'm asking this because in GWX it is always up, you just can't see it when submerged) - then I don't know if it is just eye candy or not.

Radar antenna Up/Down manually ... do you have periscope up/down automatic? no i think ...
1) It's my taste ... animation as in stock ... speed sligtly fast then in stock ... in stock time = 2.125 ... in mod time = 2.0 (12 FpS) ...
The flag has other proportions (more rectangular) and consequently is looked on another ...
If you want you can increase animation time ... using S3D ...
2) In SH3 DF antenna is not functional (hard code for this is absent) ... it's eye candy ...

:rotfl: As I said before, I will leave everything down except the flag when in the harbor, and everything up except the flag when at sea. Manually lowering the RDF and Radar is easy, and looks cool as well.
