![]() ![]() 2 September 1943: The I-10 departs Penang for the Indian Ocean with a camera crew aboard. The footage taken on this patrol is used for the propaganda film "Gochin!"(Sunk!). 14 September 1943: Indian Ocean, SW of the Chagos Islands. The I-10 torpedoes and sinks the 6,361-ton Norwegian tanker BRAMORA at 06-00N, 67-00E that was enroute from Bandar Abbas, Arabia with oil for Melbourne, Australia. 24 September 1943: The I-10 torpedoes and sinks the 7,634-ton American merchant ELIAS HOWE 75 miles SE of Aden at 11-40N, 44-35E. 1 October 1943: The I-10 torpedoes the 4,836-ton Norwegian merchant STORVIKEN that is enroute from Mombasa for Aden with a cargo of coal. She sinks at 11-43N, 48-07E. Two crewmen are taken aboard as POWs. 2 October 1943: The I-10 attacks convoy AP-47 and torpedoes the 9,057-ton Norwegian tanker ANNA KNUDSEN at 14-20N, 50-47E, but she remains afloat and makes shore. more info : http://www.combinedfleet.com/I10.htm GOCHIN means ‘Bang and Sink’. This film was made in 1942 and is an actual and genuine documentary of one of the war patrols of I.J.N. submarine I-10 in the Indian Ocean. Everything in this tape was filmed as it actually happened, including the rescue of a crewman of a Norwegian freighter and also the periscope view of the breaking up and sinking of an Allied steamer. On this patrol, I-10 sank four ships. There is a lot of Imperial Japanese Navy music, sea songs etc. throughout this tape. An A Type (I-9 Class) with Flagship facilities and a floatplane, I-10 displaced 2,434/4,150 tons and her top speed was an impressive 23.5 knots. This photo is I-10 as she departs on this particular war patrol. This is an extremely rare film and shows life on board an I.J.N. submarine as it really was. The master of this tape came to us from a friend in Japan who was a movie producer in Japan in the years of the war. He had this film in his personal vault and he sent it to us. It is not available anywhere else in the world. http://www.sharkhunters.com/tapeh26.htm Intro music theme : Catured from the movie Gochin from 6'45'' till 8'56'' music playing when the sub leaves the harbor mp3 : http://files.filefront.com/Intro+mus.../fileinfo.html ogg : http://files.filefront.com/Intro+mus.../fileinfo.html Dive Dive ! sequence captured from the movie Gochin (sink instantly) from 10'14'' till 10'22'' mp3 : http://files.filefront.com/dive+dive.../fileinfo.html ogg : http://files.filefront.com/dive+dive.../fileinfo.html bow splash sound ! captured from the movie Gochin (sink instantly) from 16'47'' till 17'00'' mp3 : http://files.filefront.com/bowsplash.../fileinfo.html Action Stations ! captured from the movie Gochin (sink instantly) from 21'16'' till 21'30'' mp3 : http://files.filefront.com/action+st.../fileinfo.html diesel engine sounds : captured from the movie Gochin (sink instantly) from 21'31'' till 21'46'' mp3 : http://files.filefront.com/diesel+en.../fileinfo.html electrical engine sounds : captured from the movie Gochin (sink instantly) from 22'04'' till 22'11'' mp3 : http://files.filefront.com/electrica.../fileinfo.html Periscope rising ! captured from the movie Gochin (sink instantly) from 24'44'' till 25'07'' mp3 : http://files.filefront.com/periscope.../fileinfo.html Torpedo firing sequence with released air sounds captured from the movie Gochin (sink instantly) from 37'37'' till 37'45'' mp3 : http://files.filefront.com/firing+to.../fileinfo.html ogg : http://files.filefront.com/firing+to.../fileinfo.html gunfire during night surface attack : captured from the movie Gochin (sink instantly) from 46'00'' till 46'20'' MP3 : http://files.filefront.com/gunfire+a.../fileinfo.html Depth charge attack sounds : captured from the movie Gochin (sink instantly) from 53'50'' till 54'28'' MP3 : http://files.filefront.com/depth+cha.../fileinfo.html torpedo attack number 4 sounds : captured from the movie Gochin (sink instantly) from 50'45'' till 51'18'' MP3 : http://files.filefront.com/torpedo+a.../fileinfo.html I use the windows media player to see when the sequence I want starts, then write up the sewuence in Pazera, export the mp3 file, then use 4musicmp3 to convert it to ogg. I guess the ogg files could replace the original firing/diving sequences, I still need a japanese speaker to tell me what they say ! Sorry Keltos, I guess I didn't understand. I thought this thread was also a WIP on the Japanese voices, which you already had a thread on. I didn't realise it was a release thread for a mod.

I've been busy with the sounds mod, made a new decent music file that plays during the menus, but the other sounds I made : .ogg and .wav for the speech and the submarine sounds make the game CTD
![]() ok so it causes CTD when loaded up, the music files are ok and don't cause ctds, but the .wav I made to replace the current submarine sounds and the .ogg for the speech seem to cause CTD on my computer. any help with this appreciated, those are genuine I-boat sounds from a propaganda movie shot during I-10 's 5th war patrol. are there different types of .wav or .ogg like there are of .jpg ?????? keltos CTD version of mod : http://files.filefront.com/IJN+sound.../fileinfo.html Last edited by keltos01; 12-15-08 at 09:40 AM. |

the intel is from the movie Gochin, it's the I-10 filmed in 1943 (from 11'16'' till 12'30'' ) :
or on FF : http://files.filefront.com/driver+mp.../fileinfo.html this should allow us to make a realistic wheel. But my Jyunsen B Driver now has to be standing up ! Keltos Last edited by keltos01; 12-29-08 at 04:36 AM. |
