Default JSGME v2.2 under development

Not sure where best to post this, but as a) this is really the only games forum I am a member of, b) there are less forums on the SH3 side than SH4 and c) there are more people browsing this forum at this exact minute, I thought I'd post here.

Basically, I am working on the next release of JSGME.

So far:

- Now allows users to change the default MODS folder name when first run
Not really for SH3/SH4, but should be well received by those running games that already utilise a MODS folder. You can now change it to anything you want.

- Now displays the total number of mods found and number of activated mods in status bar
"x mods found (y activated)" now shows in the status bar. Saves you counting when asked how many mods you have installed.

- Now accepts command line parameters (refer to Help file for more detail)
See post below

- Added ability to import a mod folder from another location
Just unzip your mod anywhere on your HD and use JSGME to move or copy it into your MODS folder structure.

Still to be added is an option of disabling subsequent mods when the user attempts to disable a "greyed out" mod; and a search/sort function to find mods, either available or activated. These are the other most frequently requested features. They may make v2.2, but they may be held over if they start to delay its release too much.

Feel free to announce this on other games forums that you frequent. And thanks to all who have introduced JSGME to other gaming communities - it's great getting email from users confirming another game that it's actively used with.

FYI the current version is v2.1.0.107. The "cog" icon has been replaced with a "G" to emphasise the "Generic" nature of the tool.

Hi Jaesen, good to hear from you!

to avoid conflicts with games that already have a folder called "MODS"
I have struck that in a few games such as Far Cry, I use your mod enabler for a number of games:
SFP1, WOV, WOE, games by TK
Ship Sim 2008
T-72
BOB II
Many thanks for your hard work!

Hi JS

Looking forward to update. I use JSGME in all my moddable games.

It's the only way to install mods IMHO.
