I received this...I suppose it is related, as I could not access several other sites besides subsim.com

"From Doug Erwin:

This evening at 4:55pm CDT in our H1 data center, electrical gear shorted, creating an explosion and fire that knocked down three walls surrounding our electrical equipment room. Thankfully, no one was injured. In addition, no customer servers were damaged or lost.

We have just been allowed into the building to physically inspect the damage. Early indications are that the short was in a high-volume wire conduit. We were not allowed to activate our backup generator plan based on instructions from the fire department.

This is a significant outage, impacting approximately 9,000 servers and 7,500 customers. All members of our support team are in, and all vendors who supply us with data center equipment are on site. Our initial assessment, although early, points to being able to have some service restored by mid-afternoon on Sunday. Rest assured we are working around the clock…."

Fire in the Planet datacenter

Hello http://service-update.theplanet.com/
Quote: May 31 – 7:36pm
Today at approximately 5:45 p.m., a transformer in our H1 data center in Houston caught fire, thus requiring us to take down all generators as instructed by the fire department. All servers are down.
June 2 – 4:09pm CDT
Customer servers are coming online now. We are doing a rack by rack physical check for any servers that need technical support.

News report leaked from CNN;

"....A major disaster struck the world famous www.subsim.com site a while ago. At approximately 5:45 p.m., a transformer in the H1 data center in Houston caught fire, thus requiring them to take down all generators as instructed by the fire department. The Police say that they arrested a man on the scene of the fire, with an empty can of gasoline and a lighter. The man, acting confused, said to the police that he had to revenge the name of his grandfather, named Bernard Dummkopf. The man also mumbled something about someone called "Dowly", and that "Dowly ist nicht Bernards vater....nein...neeein..". The confused man was immidiately taken to the Texas fruit-cake department, and placed in the garage of the well-known Neal Stevens, for some electro-shock treatment and some
good ol' barbeque, Texan style....
Updates will follow!..."

Well......Blimey!

Well, to tell the truth?
We thought some of the things we are working on broke SubSim!!

After all,
GWX is the most probable cause for all kinds of
'Bermuda Triangle' stuff, eh?
