Janus Error on SH2 and PA

I've been trying to figure out what is causing this error. I'm trying to play SH2 and/or Pacific Aces on my tablet. I had SH2 on this tablet about 6 months to 1 year ago, but now it seems all I get is this error. I've done a clean install of SH2 with the v1.1 patch and get this error as well. I know I've never had a problem playing this game on my tablet before. Any help in solving this error would be greatly appreciated. The error is as follows:


Error 7 [(desc.file.GetLastError()!=0)]
Direct X code: "Unrecognized error: 0x00000007"

When I've installed the game I've always told it to install quicktime and directx off the disc even though there may have been a newer version already on my computer. As I said any information would be a great help.

Hi Jman
Had the same problem and I believe the exact same error message....wasn't in my Janus log though. Anyway, I reinstalled just DirectX from the Silent Hunter II disk and it now works fine. I too told it to install the directX on the initial install. If you've already done this I have no clue. Hope you get it up and running.

Direct X code: "Unrecognized error: 0x00000007"

is a graphic error, try to update yor graphic card drivers, and the last update of DirectX9.
