GWX 1.04 Developmental Sneak Peak PART II

I know, I know... I'm late with the update. We've all been busy as one-armed guys being chased by a swarm of bees.

However, here we go.

During the war, the British army and navy both built off-shore sea forts used for a number of purposes. Infact at least one still stands today and is claimed to be an independant country "Sealand" by its current owner.

Thanks to the efforts of fellow dev teamer Privateer and company, the GWX Dev team is proud to reveal these stunning (and deadly ) works of art.

In GWX version 1.04, these forts will be placed in historically accurate locations. Indeed, Bigboywooly has already set these on location in the current build under construction. Furthermore, our good friend and fellow dev teamer Pablo, is cooking a nice write up on these forts for the GWX Manual "Das Buch."

Now for the twist!!! IF you are brave... or foolish enough to get close to these monsters... You can actually destroy them! (Yes Bernard, you can torpedo them!)

Without further techno-babble... we give you... THE SEA FORTS!!!

This is how they appeared in real life during the war:

Twin Boom style fort currently also undergoing scripting to historically accurate locations:

Next update we will showcase part one of fellow dev teamer Ichneumon's fleet of brand new ships!

Cheers for now.

We still remain unsure of how to work in a Death Star.

Superb work, can't wait to see those forts through the periscope when 1.04 comes out. The fort pictured is the Red Sands fort which was acquired by Radio Invicta in 1965. Pictures taken in 2003 can be found here if anyones interested http://www.bobleroi.co.uk/ScrapBook/...ds2003Pt1.html
