[REL] Improved Scene.dat Tweakfile.

This file was created to use with Timetraveller mini tweaker.
I added the underwater "fog-start" and "fog-end" values.

So now we can use this values to change the underwater visibility.

What's scene.dat for? Is it some file to customize scenes in the game?

Default clearer underwater view

Hello,
I have to say that I suck at the whole modding thing. I was wondering if there is a MOD out there that can make SHIV underwater view as clear as it was in SH3?
I saw this post for using Timetraveller mini tweaker to adjust the underwater density. I down loaded it and read the instruction and to be honest its more complicated than I had thought.
The reason I wish to do this is for a movie I am making.

If any one has made a mod that can do this I would be greatful if you could point me to it.
Thank you to all the mod makers. Your work is highly appreciated by people like me!

Just use the scene.dat tweakfile with the minitweaker program.
Change the underewater fog start setting to 200 and the fog end to let's say 300.
Than you can see a lot under water.

Hello Robbierob2005,
Thank you for your information. I have done what you say. When I open the mini tweeker and I see the file "Other Fog Distances". I put in the 2oo "Start Fog" And 300 "EndFog". I hit Save New Value and refresh Tweak File. I then ran SHIV. I didn't see any change in the underwater view, It was still as murky as before. Do I need to do anything else to have this work?

Sorry for being such a noob about all this. I do thank you for your help.

Smoker.

Start the minitweaker.

Select your alternate game folder. (like c:\Program Files\Ubisoft\SilentHunter 4 wolves of the pacific)

Load the scene_dat.txt tweakfile I made.

Select

then edit the fog start and fog end settings here

Done!
