Default [REL] Kosh Reduced Floaters Mod

This is just a tiny mod that makes the floating water impurities more subtle.

Get it HERE: http://www.filefront.com/15809797/Ko...rs-Apr-28.rar/
or here: http://hosted.filefront.com/OACKosh/

Install with JSGME.

Happy "floating"!

Please call it "plankton." I can't get the image of something very different out of my head with everyone calling for someone else to come get the floaters out of their water. :P

Hahahaha, no idea what you are thinking, lol :rotfl:

They do just float around though, milling in all different directions. Even if I wanted, I can't rename my own thread because only admins can do that

It seems to me that algae (floaters) should be high in shallow coastal waters and low in the open seas. Also, it should be higher in tropical latitudes. Of course, I have no idea whether this can be modded or would require hard-coding.

Actually plankton (not algae) should be far more abundant in the higher latitudes. The tropical latitudes are relatively barren, but as a consequence have the greatest water clarity. Take the humpback whale as an example. Female humpbacks travel to shallow, clear tropical waters to give birth but starve during their time there. In summer, they must travel back north to the higher latitudes to feed. The relative depth of the water tends not to be significant factor unless wave action or drainage of the land is involved.

But probably all irrelevant, as I don't believe we have the ability to set underwater conditions by region.

All right, I put some screenies at the top.

Do you know how much more work it takes to put four screenshots up than you guys simply installing the mod and loading your game?? hahahahahahaha

Thanks, Probex. I'll be giving this one a try in the Mods folder.

Very handy for those who can't see the forest for the trees, or their sub for the floaters!
