Nice, but just cannot see using this. Those body colors are just plain wrong. You need to use dark Non-Reflective Military type colors. Shiny colors even on the so called dark ones are just a bit much, as are the head colors.
Try a regular red, yellow and green as opposed to metallic red, yellow and green and to a much darker scale. As for the bodies, I think they should all be dark grey, black or steel colored. Just my 2 cents, not a flame or anything.

Hi, Redwine - I'd just gotten used to distinguishing the torps in game, but now everything is easier with your mod
Just one question though: isnt't the Cutie battery-powered (electric)? I'm asking because you've colored it light blue, like the wet-heaters

@ AVGWARHAWK: at work now, so I don't have screens, but this is a view of the DDS files in IrfanView so you can get an idea of how they look:

red, slightly out of topic, I saw your night visibility mods, is there a way to adjust visibility ONLY with the observation periscope?

I applaud the intent of this mod, but I just can't see loading such garish colors onto my boat. I fear my crew will fall over laughing at me.
I do have a suggestion, though. Instead of painting the entire torpedo blue, violet, yellow, or whatever, why not just insert a narrow color-coded stripe or "ring" between the nose and the body. It looks more "military" and would be sufficient for identification. There's actually a white ring there now. Color code THAT and leave the rest black/grey. |
