Default [REL] Green "Position Keeper" and "Good Lock" Buttons Mod for SH 4

Green "Position Keeper" and "Good Lock" Buttons Mod for SH 4
made by
Captain Cox

Improved and Tweaked
made by
jimimadrid

Inspired by "jimimadrid" I felt that these buttons would be better recognized as "ON" in green, simple and plain.
Install with JSGME

Happy Hunting!

I think nobody did this as of yet...I can't remember seeing it anywhere.

IMPROVED AND UPDATED VERSION!!!
Made by jimimadrid

1. moving the periscope (FWD torpedo selected) - lamp red off - button off
2. moving on a ship (FWD torpedo selected) - lamp yellow on - button off
3. locking on a ship (FWD torpedo selected) - lamp green on - button on
4 locking on a ship (AFT torpedo selected- wrong torpedo side) - lamp green off - button on

so you get very easy an information- if you are able to hit the ship, and if you have locked with the right torpedo, (FWD or AFT)

i also will use the little led-light above the lamps.
Torpedo 1 is loading, and therefore you can not select him, no green LED on.
(this is only a little cosmetic change, because loading torpedos lights are flashing)

Ditto, even with a solution that works perfectly and I fire a salvo of 3 torps that hit exactly where I want them to this button never changes for me. What's this thing for and when does it work or how do you make it work?

When setting up a solution to a new target, I turn the Position Keeper off - lock sight on new target, click it to turn it back on. Just to make sure the position keeper is tracking the proper target that I will be inputting data for.

Yep that's a bit of a weird one, you have to unclick it and click it again after selecting a new target...its like you update it sort of.

FYI, clicking on the "good lock" button is the same as "L" key and locks your optic to the target. I haven't made any sense out of it lighting up.

Well with this mod you basically know if it locked or not (green) instead of the same "red" but with a slightly offsetted "R"

Ok, I guess I didn't know any of that I was wondering if there was a way to lock without trying to hit the L key in the dark, and now I know.

Sometimes it's the simple things that make all the difference. Great idea, well done.

@ Donat,
i have made some little changes to CaptainCox idea.

@CaptainCox, this is not an intend to grab out your idea. i have only checked the status of the lamps and find out that there are some more possibilities to work with the lampcolors.

1. moving the periscope (FWD torpedo selected) - lamp red off - button off
2. moving on a ship (FWD torpedo selected) - lamp yellow on - button off
3. locking on a ship (FWD torpedo selected) - lamp green on - button on
4 locking on a ship (AFT torpedo selected- wrong torpedo side) - lamp green off - button on

so you get very easy an information- if you are able to hit the ship, and if you have locked with the right torpedo, (FWD or AFT)

i also will use the little led-light above the lamps.
Torpedo 1 is loading, and therefore you can not select him, no green LED on.
(this is only a little cosmetic change, because loading torpedos lights are flashing)

If CaptainCox give me his OK to share it, i will put the link here.

regards
jimimadrid
