Default CTD on torpedo impact (WoS)

While setting up a torpedo attack, I foolishly saved the game which I then reverted to after I screwed up my attack. Subsequently everytime my torpedo was about to hit the enemy ship I my game froze, then CTD everytime after that. Is this because I saved near an AI unit (which I admit I should not do, even since SH3) or is it indicative of a deeper problem with my Wolves of Steel install?

What can I do to remedy this? Can I revert to an older save, before the AI unit in question ever entered the scene or do I need to restart my campaign from new.

Any help appreciated.

Are you sure that you aren't shooting at friendly units? For example, after june 1940 France is friendly nation too ect...

I had read that could be an issue as well but it's not possible. The ship is flying a red ensign, it's July 1940.

That would be a good idea, no need for campaign restart of course (IF your issue is caused by simple gamesave corruption and not by some other means like inadequate game/mod installation ect...) ...
Can you upload problematic gamesave?

Russian red flag? Allieds in the 40', until Barbarossa in 1941. You attack it and CTD....Do you think that was a british merchant?

Regards.

No, it was a british ship, no question. I reverted to an earlier save and had the same issue, so I'm going to have to start a new campaign and see if that changes anything before I reinstall the mod from scratch. I'm putting a lot of hours into trying to get this to work, the more I try the more I feel like going back to SH4!

Hi Aviv
I can assure you that it is not a game problem otherwise a lot of TWOS players would be reporting the same sort of problem.
TWOS is 99.99% stable,
The most stable of any SH version modded.

OK...Let's try one more time...
Screenshots of your main game folder and JSGME window would be useful too...
