and many Cruisers and get this fck CTD
My specs are ok (8GB mem)

Hi Vecko, i was testing the mission.

First try: One torpedo fired, battleship burning with engines stopped. Waiting 24 hours, no ctd. Another 24 hours, no ctd. I fired a second torpedo and she was destroyed.

Second try: First torpedo, burning again. 48 hours later I fired a second one, heavy black smoke but still not destroyed. Three days later i launched a third torpedo. Queen Elizabetyh sunk in a few minutes. No CTD at all.

By the way, two days ago I removed some mods:

R.E.M_by_Xrundel_TheBeast_1.2
R.S.D. - Reworked Submarine Damage v5.7.1 by vdr1981_Main mod
R.S.D. & R.E.M. - GHG Hydrophone add-on

I love this mods but I was getting some random CTDs, especially entering or leaving some ports like Kiel or Polish ports, so I am in testing period now. I think there may be a problem concerning sensors

I also removed gap - armaments & equipments patch v 0.2, FXU_0_0_22_Ship zon Files v2 and some other stuff.

I am also testing different generic patcher options. My snorkel is active and I am playing through uplay, orbit listener active, etc. I think my game is pretty stable now but I will continue testing.

Thanks to Sober, Vdr, TDW, Trevally, Gap, Sjizzle and all subsim community for your fantastic work. I really love this game. I'll be happy if I can help with anything.

Claudia, can you please check is your IRAI mod properly enabled? It can be tricky because when you extract IRAI archive it is still not JSGME ready.

I'm asking you this because I also wont get any CTD if IRAI is disabled...

Yeah, don't worry about that, my IRAI is properly enabled. I made a few mods, I have some experience.

MODS\IRAI_0_0_41_ByTheDarkWraith folder has two subfolders, data and documentation, and inside data i found 7 folders: Air, Cfg, library, etc.

A year ago or so i had a similar problem, lot of CTDs when i engaged a convoy, some ships were damaged and destroyers were looking for me. I noticed that removing IRAI solved the problem.

Now my modlist and file patches are very different and i think my CTDs are different too: Some CTDs at the same time AI units take damage, or leaving ports, etc

So beautiful and frustrating game at the same time

In the next days i am going to test the same mission with my modlist but adding REM, RSD, GHG hydro and some other stuff u are using in WoS, such as:

Modified init.aix
FXU_0_0_22_Ship zon Files v2
gap - armaments & equipments patch v 0.2
Modified Shells.zon and torpedoes_g7a-e.zon
Modified zones.cfg

etc.

You have also changed the armament of the uboat, some unitparts for types B and C, the upgradepacks.upc (something related to hydrophone i guess), all the snorkle_hinged.zon, or UBoot_Sensors.fx, but i think these are less relevant to the problem at hand.

Tell me if you want something in particular.

I fired 1 torp and had to go to submerged silent running . The escorts were going nuts looking everywhere . The ship sank bow first after a while and said ship sank with the zero tonnage date . The 2nd time I played the mission the ship scored a hit near the tail . the escorts stayed behind her while the QE burned and was almost stopped . After a while she sailed off and the escorts followed . Then a while later the escorts started looking around . I followed the ship (burning heavily) until 0130 hours , she was still sailing quite fast . No ctds .

Sober, Claudia and Ironcold, can I see yours generic patcher snapshots?

I'm also very surprised to hear that Claudia is able to stay in historical mission for 72+ hours?! We are all aware of game problem where any historical mission will CTD after ~24 hours of sim time no mater what...

Claudia can you confirm that you're using latest gen.patcher?

Hm dammit..With only IRAI and your snapshot on board on board I'm still experiencing the same CTD...

These kind of problems really can put me away from SH5...

How much graphics card memory do you have ? CTDs on single missions , yeah almost everytime . that's why I don't play single missions .
Single missions are more trouble than they are worth .

Well, not for Claudia apparently... She can stay in single mission for days...

CTD which I was talking about is SHsim.act /AI related and it will occur only when leader unit in hunter killer group is engaged and damaged (not dead). If battleship is alone or if it's not set as a leader , CTD wont occur...
