Not just yet. We keep running into little issues. Substituting Japanese submarines and tactics into a German Pacific Ocean campaign is definitely not as easy I hoped. They (the Japanese subs) covered basically from the Panama Canal Zone all the way around the world West by Africa and up to France. No easy task to just change the BigMap.dds and go doing missions, much less writing the missions and making them somewhat like what the Sensuikan commanders went through... Hopefully a "skinny" demo in a few weeks, dependent upon if keltos01 likes how things turn out. I still haven't figured out if we'll do one boat at a time all the way through the war, go back and do others, or do one base, all the boats, or one year at a time. We'll see. But we're still trying to get the "base" mod to function reliably. Bells and whistles will have to wait. We're close on that.

We don't have that installed in the mod, but if the mod uses certain German boats as its "base" (I'm brain-numb right now and can't remember which are still "alive" in the game), it should work. Once we get the campaign set and get a beta out, I might look at that as a possibility. Which particular Aux Cruiser mod are you wondering about? I have used the AsashioDDplayable mod from Peabody in a stripped-down version of the CMN mod, so hopefully, it wouldn't be too difficult to bring something like that in, but it will be much later before we get to the "extra" stuff like that. We have enough trouble with just getting what we have so far running correctly...

Thanks to know that perhaps will be some aux cruiser in the future mod; I really love them. However I was refering to the two classes that are in the Fall of the Rising Sun mod.
PS: sorry for my bad english

I know which ones you are referring to. Do you happen to know if anyone has made a mod to make either of them playable?

In reality I know that exist two Playable aux cruiser mod: the Playable HK Atlantis from Mikhail, that use the original SH4 model and the Playable MS Pinguin from Nautilus42 that use the same model of FOTRS (but with no campaign and no AA guns).

Looks great! I am so glad you guys are starting work on this mod again after such a long hiatus - I thought it was dead! I have always found Japanese Submarines interesting - when I was a little kid I used to pretend that I was a captain of a Japanese submarine during WWII, and I had all sorts of adventures. Now, with this mod, I can actually play these adventures in a game! Best of luck to you all with continuing work on this mod.

Fritz, I hope the mod's idea of "play" is similar to what you imagined... We've got the old portions of the German U-Boats missions changed to a Japanese perspective, and now have to reduce their "frequency" (you don't want to spend the entire game in the Indian Ocean, do you??). Peabody had already finished with the traffic levels, so now what's left before a beta would be to build some more boat-specific mission files and incorporate them. We'll worry about "historical dates" for the equipment and fancy stuff later...
