Default Mission Editor

when using the mission editor, how can a user determine the depth of the water where he might want to place a vessel of some kind?

i have been clicking (and right clicking) on everything i can click on but i cannot find any depth values.

so...either i need the secret code to get depth or it is not available.

LOL, nope no secret code. I've used the ME quite a bit making some single missions for FOTRSU and as far as I know there is no depth indication available on the ME. I'm thinking that the only way you can check is maybe go in and check in Campaign mode if you find it necessary.

ok.
by Campaign mode, do you mean start a mission, sail to the spot you want a depth reading and take the reading?

That's one way, but I was just referring to the color coding on the Nav Map in Campaign mode. Of course you can set up the mission also save it then go in and see what the depth is. That would probably be quicker.

Now fellers, blame it on Windows. Especially if you have a widescreen display, and the taskbar out. You can't see the bottom edge of the ME screen. Shorten the height of it up about the thickness of the taskbar, press the "H" key, and move the mouse around. It is best if you zoom in as close and accurately as you can... That's the way you can see the two methods of latitude / longitude in the ME also. The mouse cursor is out south of Sand Island in the shallows, and of course isn't picked up by the screen capture, but down in the bottom info bar, you can see the "-22.0" depth - that's meters, btw.
