Should have used the scene where Stewart has his pug dog and he and the other soldiers are like AHHHHHH!! becuase they are getting attacked and their force field thingy has been by passed and the pug dog is like WTF is happening?and the soldiers are like why do we look like slightly fashionable British Army officers cira 1930? And the guy on the left is like Why do I look like a friendly Nazi? AHHHHH!

Now that is a secret weapon.

Oh you really should. It'd kinda like "Das Boot", some like it, some dont.
Those who have read the book generally don't seem to like it, but I never read it,
so SUCK IT BOOKWORMS!!

Only thing I don't like about it is the "main" star.. err.. Paul? Always disliked that actor.

Oh and one of those things I like about it is that it just feels big. It's a 3hr film, but there's SO many big scenes that you usually see only 1 or 2 these days, and most of those are build via practical effects, so that's a plus.

I'm saving that one for when the US colonies rise up. They'll never know what hit them!

From what I've seen it certainly looks a tour de force, I haven't read the books so I'll have an advantage there. Paul, yeah, don't think that much of him, but heck, it's got enough good chaps in there to make up for a couple of bad ones, including Prochnow. Although Vlad Harkonnen always gives me the creeps...I mean...ugh...it's done just a tad over the top for me, but the miniseries version looks a bit better.

And then, of course, there's Sting...

But I've just seen that the film is on the youtube, so I think I shall be watching that either tomorrow or at the weekend.
