Default More Mission for Yamato mod??

Hello everybody!! i have a question. i've downloaded a Battleship Yamato Mod. it's a Great Ship!
This ship attach to German Campaign and the only single mission available is the German Side BBTest, i can't use the Yamato on any American side Single Mission.
is there any way i could modify the data or something so the Yamato will be available in American Single Mission too?? or is there any separate mission packs for the Yamato?? i Would love to see Yamato escorting Merchant Ship Convoy with Fubuki and Friends! plus engaging enemy Ships with the Gigantic Guns! Thanks!!

Hi there xolovestephi Welcome to

The playable surface vessels can present a challenge in finding missions, but you can edit any of the single missions you can find online that use the submarine that the Yamato is built on. All you have to do is make certain the you have the names correct and the "Height=0". Most of the submarine missions start with the submarine set to periscope depth. The Yamato, being a Japanese vessel, was built in the German campaign so that its own IJN fleet would not shoot at it. The problem is that there are no included single missions for the UBoats side. There are some, such as

http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/show...213#post851213

The download link for SubSim is
http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/down...o=file&id=4053

Notice the "misge" extension on the mission files. That's what makes them show on the German side of the SH4 menu. You can use the mission editor to do some of the work for you, but it would probably be easier to just use a text editor. Let us know if you want some help to alter some of those files, and if you do, let us know which Yamato mod you're using...

I use NotePad++. Once you have it installed, you can right-click on a misge file and "Open with Notepad++". However, any text editor of your own choice will do. You just have to tell them to open "*.*" files so that you can "see" the misge extensions. They are text files though.

Name=SM09 _Type IXD2#1
Class=SSTypeIXD2
Type=200
Origin=German
Side=2
Commander=1
CargoExt=-1
CargoInt=-1
CfgDate=19440601
DeleteOnLastWaypoint=false
DockedShip=false
GameEntryDate=19440601
GameEntryTime=1200
GameExitDate=19451231
GameExitTime=0
EvolveFromEntryDate=false
Long=14900459.000000
Lat=1245001.000000
Height=0.000000
Heading=109.595001

...

I haven't played it myself yet, but the 2nd to the last line above is the one. I'm not sure about that UBoat "call" part. The mod itself, it looks like you call it as a Yamato, such that in the CFG files, it's:

ClassName=NBB_Yamato

so that would be Class=NBB_Yamato. It is still a Type=200 though. You can Name= call it anything you want, including "Late For Supper", and that's what will show up in your periscope...

Is the Bismarck1011 upload the same as the tomhugill version? I only downloaded the Bismarck1011 version thus far...

Thank You So Much mate propbeanie i got it work just now...amazing!!!

Bismarck1011 version and tomhugill version are the same...in tomhugill version there is an extra compressed file of the Yamato...and inside are the same files as the extracted one that's why the size are larger.
