Default Alt Tabbing

I have noticed that when I use alt-tab that I lose functionality of a couple of things. The U-jagd chronometer and the heading bar that you can use the mouse wheel to change desired heading. I have tried using windowed mode and full screen with the same effects. Is there anything that can be done about this because I am a new SH5 player and I sometimes need to alt tab to learn while playing. I am also using SH5speech so I use alt tab to find the correct speech command. I am not new to silent hunter but just new to the SH5 interface mostly. I really like it and I love the new UI mod, its so wonderful with so many tools. I can definitely work around this problem since I have RAOBF and speech to order new course so if there is no way to resolve the issue then no biggie but the Ujagd chrono would be useful in situations where zig zagging occurs and I can eyeball aoe and guestimate range as to make a quick firing solution on the fly.

edit - Im going to post my mod list just in case it may be a result of a different mod.

As far as 1945 you should use OH II v2.5 mod as this is a far superior mod to the litemod.

The biggest problem with the lite mod is in the name lite.

This is basically the stock game with reduced tonnages to complete the objectives.

You will finish your objectives a lot quicker and then you are hanging around for a long time waiting for the date to come up so you can start the next mission.

Default Automation ?

Hi all,

Hi all, first of all, I salute your job here, really you are excellent, bravo to you !

Then, I do not speak english sorry (google translation my friends lol), but I have a real problem with NewUi 7.4.2, automation has never worked.

I mean, I do not have the icon in the top right, and I can not find anything to help me, even after resettlement, attempted change in TheDarkWraithUserOptions.py etc?

Does anyone have an idea? Knowing that I do not use real navigation, too complicated for my little brain



I think I have the solution, my game is download from ubi, maybe it's my problem...I'll try to find my CD for install from it, and see.

Nice job on the mod here you made! Modding must be hard in this game cause I don't know how to mod a single thing other than enabling mods . I prefer using the Das Boot Crew instead of the normal ones because first of all I have mighty fine crew on and they would not look like that and second of all the stock crew looks ugly in general and not brave men. Especially someone like the XO. Great job on the mod and keep on going!

I am using the latest 7.5 version.

Even though I (think) I have it enabled, I am unable to get any automatic speed reports when I click on a contact. I just get --- for speed.

What setting do I need to enable to make that report show up? I have searched the thread (all 762 pages) and have only come up with "you need to enable that report". No one seems to say what setting actually enables the report.

Any advice? I'm just now getting used to manual targeting - I still need speed reports.

Disregard - I think I will try and figure out how to measure the speed manually.

Nope, I still need advice. None of the contact reports I receive about convoys on the move include any sort of speed report. This is more of an issue that when I actually spot a convoy.

How do I turn this feature off, so I get speed reports again?

To show the speeds etc. You need to make a change in TDW's Option File Editor Viewer in the Radio Tab.

Go to the Radio Tab and change the line.

Show contacts actual speed vice relative speed (slow, medium, fast, etc)

Change from false to true.

Thanks, Berbster, but I've already changed that setting and it's not having the desired effect. I still show --- for all speeds, visual or reported.

On the other hand, I am getting better at using the nomograph.

No this is ok.



You need to use this mod with 7-5-0


Other resolutions come with the mod

If you are expecting to see the contacts knot speed then I do not think it is available?


You might see it with Auto TDC.
