Sorry AVG...I'm on dial-up which means these big pictures bump the page up so I probably missed your post.

I have a dry-erase board which has become a scrap board of sorts. Some of these are mine, some belong to friends, and some are from cartoonists and animators whose work I admire. Mort Drucker, Jack Davis, Brett Blevins, Chris Sanders among others. I think there may a potential fire hazard brewing though.

No, inside your computer. You have a large cable going to the back of the computer. Looks perhaps like a video out cable. There is a white and black one. Looks to be between your video card and sound card perhaps.

Ah now I'm with you, the black one is part of the Zalman ZM-MFC2 controller, it goes to a power box that connects between the power plug and the PSU for the power (wattage) readout, the whole unit is around $50,and is really good value IMO, the only problem is the colored LCD readout has to be viewed directly on or the display values will all show eights if you know what I mean, the white cable is just extra USB external plugs.

OK, got'cha. I have seen cables like this and one in particular in my old computer that hooked up to the SD card slot and other slots for small memory cards.

Maybe it's for dust purposes that they keep the components on the underside, Do they actually make a case with left & right reversed? or is this a left/right hand thing?
Some cases are ATX and BTX standard which means you can basically reverse the way the motherboard is mounted so that the expansion cards face up and not down. BTX was devised by Intel back when they were producing those hot hot hot pentium 4 prescotts. ATX was not designed for optimal coling of those beasts. Intel tried to strongarm the industry in ditching ATX for BTX but that didn't come to pass. So we are still stuck with ATX excpet for some specific (and costly) cases that implement both standards. Right now with cpu that are very efficient in terms of thermal dissipation there is no need for a BTX standard.

Thanks for the info goldorak, it's purely for looks but would be better for heat sinks etc to be facing up rather than down, I'll do a search for BTX but like you say, probably rare and costly, you'd think some Chinese manufacturer would produce some to see if it kicks off!!

Finally got my hands on a camera. My brother spend the last 2 weeks searching for some cable, but ,like everything else, he can't find it. :rotfl:

So I went out and bought my own.
