Yes, clearly those Austrian simpletons speak for all the Turkish community, bloody Turks my arse. Just like the BNP represents all Brits, maybe the next time I read a report about thos muppets, I should write "bloody Brits"...

That being said, let's check out what those funny clowns from Austria have to offer, here is their statement (in German):http://www.turkischegemeinde.at/index.php?id=312
]
Thats just a typical example of dhimmitude.
This is serious stuff, Erdogan himself probably orchestrated this anti LEGO jihad.

In fact some newspapers appear to make it their primary function.

Idiots have complained about toys since idiots and toys were around.
This is one idiot making a complaint and some other irrelevant idiots echoing it.
I think this Austrian group of muppets is the equivalent of Choudray and his dozen fellow idiots from islam4UK who the newspapers described as "spokesmen for the Muslim community"

I did hear he was actually in favour of these toys, he thinks it will lead to a massive army of muslim jedi younglings taking over europe one school at a time with awesome sharia approved lightsabres.
You really have to watch out for those Turks, everyone knows that kebabs are the prime source of Midi-chlorians which means Turks are the Force to be reckoned with in the Muslim worlds.

P.S. And it works. On German radio this late evening there was a brief comment by a german, and the guy philosophizing there said that there is indeed the need to educate our children with greater care regarding the respectability of foreigners living amongst us, and that this of course should also be reflected in a responsible design of toys and a choice by parents on buying toys only that are not offensive for other cultures. And bla and bla and blablabla.

The method works, Viper. It works bloody damn well.

What do Buddhists and Jehovah's Witnesses have to do with this?

Let's see if Turkish culture is actually influencing western culture in a good way, shall we?

GOOD THINGS:
  • Fezzes
  • Kebabs
  • Shish Kebabs
  • Baklava

BAD THINGS:
  • A couple of hundred crazy people boycotting one particular Lego set

Decide amongst yourselves if they've had a good or bad influence

This is your standard by which you compare cultures and civilizations - fast food...?

You could as well put Kant, Hegel, Mozart, Bach, Planck and Humboldt on the same level of cultural importance with Bratwurst or Jägerschnitzel.

French fries the same as the Code Napoleon, Fish&Chips the same as the spirit of the humanistic tradition, Hamburgers the same as (musical) well temperament - this way culture and civilization get vulgarized. Let's trade basic human rights and equality before the law for some lousy folk songs yelled in the streets in front of the pub! That will boost multiculturalism tremendously!

It would do a better job of boosting multiculturalism than a person saying how stupid Christianity, Islam and people from Turkey are on a website about submarines

EDIT: Fezzes are hats. The above post mentions nothing about hats, just food. This suggests to me that you put hats in the same category as food. I hope you have a tasty birthday hat this year!

And I never said anything about human rights, just that your nonsensical hatred of Turks annoys me. Between you and me, I definitely have more reason to hate Turks. You hate them because a small group of them are insulted by a Lego Star Wars set, while thousands of my countrymen were slaughtered by them at Gallipoli.
