If you're looking for a start point for a mod to put on top of GWX 3 I recommend bbw's Wilhelmshaven mod. It adds a number of ships from different ship modellers as well as working locks in Wilhelshaven, the Kiel Canal and St Nazaire. - Airship2 - This is an in-game movie file of an attack on an enemy blimp (not a mod)

- Foam - replaces the 12 Foam_0x.tga files in the data/Misc folder with larger versions, affects how the water looks

- Fubar Sub Skins PT.x - collections of skins to change the look of your u-boat

- Fubar Plain Uboat Skin Pack - skin files to change the look of your u-boat

- SH3 oggvorbis 1 -11 - collection of music for you Gramophone folder

- SH3MoonMod (2x) - changes the look of the moon, usually to make it smaller and more "real" looking

- Torpedo Damage (2x) - changes what combat damage looks like on anything with a damage model (enemy ships you hit, your own boat if you take external damage)

Where's the Chief when you need him ?

Just to answer some of those left (have not played the game since the GWX3.0 release) :

- Community_units adds a number of cargos IIRC
- Flying Dutchman Erm... and all that, ya know. Okay, it's a ghost ship.

- GWX2.0_Moon adds a new resized moon reworked by the great Ichneumon.

- liferaft_1 and _2 a mod made by the pretty skilled Privateer and Thunder, featuring crew leaving their ship when the unit is destroyed. Thunder did the animation work, Privateer took care of the inclusion in the game.

- NKSs_T05.tga new texture for the small merchant

- Real Depth Charge new depth charge sound

- Turm_7B_Historic Tarjak's work IIRC, pack of new - neat-looking - emblems that were used in real life.

- Turm_VIIC_1_Historic ditto

- Unmark ? I think it removes the orange mark on top of your boot when you're underwater.

- Wac Animated Sub Pens Hansolo's work, this cool guy created new U-Boote bunkers featuring new objects in them.

- KM Heavy mod A pack of Kriegsmarine ships (Bismarck, Tirpitz, Gneisenau, Hipper and Scharnhorst) with IMHO some pretty nifty skins.

- Community_units: A package of 30+ ships (IIRC) but originally intended for GWX2.1 => Does it also work with GWX3.0 or is it already inlcuded in GWX3.0? That is a hard one to answer because many have tried it and for some it works and for others it doesn't. It is safest used solely in GWX2.1 unless your prepared to put the units in one at a time....a lengthy time taking process.

- Real Depth Charge: New depth charge sound; A change of sound file (rids the listener to the repeated rattling of cups and cutlery) => Does it "only" remove the "cup rattling" sound or does it also change the actual DC sound? It is a different sound file (taken from elswhere in the mod actually). Try it and see if you like it. Can be installed via JSGME.

- Unmark: Puts the marker which shows the precise position of your U-boat whilst submerged back into GWX3.0 => If it puts the marker back in, what takes it out in the first place? GWX3.0, the marker is only a tiny file and simple to take out.

- Unofficial_rocket_fix: Fixes the anomaly that prevented late war aircraft from firing rockets at surfaced U-boats => Same as above: What is the GWX3.0 stock or default installation? For some unknown reason the rockets were unable to fre but tweaking the corresponding file (as in said mod) has rectified the problem. It is often not necessary to reinvent the wheel.
