SH3 stock don't have the ghost ship. I don't remember if there is a mod or it is included in GWX. The model is the stock SH4 imported in SH3. It is the same model but in SH4 looks better - probably because of shaders etc.

Best regards.

Ok, this explains something that happened last night. My REAL last night, not last night in the sim.

I was about 50 nautical miles east of Japan. I didn't see anything because I was submerged over 200 feet down and it was night. I got a sonar hit and it showed up on my map. Using the 3:14 minute rule, I plotted it's course and speed. It was doing a whopping 40+ knots. Even with no time compression at all, I could easily the sonar contact moving straight in my general direction. It was on a heading that allowed to cut the corner and head it off and so, I went for it climbing to periscope depth to take a look. Just as I reached periscope depth, the sonar contact just faded away and there was nothing in the scope. I thought that this was really odd but forgot about it. Now that i see this thread, I'm thinking darn darn darn. Serves me right for not running on the surface at night anyway.

Saw it inSH3 in a storm, Kind of glowing green. could not catch it with stock VII.

Are y'all still spreading lies that it exists, with your fake screenshots and all?

I have seen it too, in stock (non-uboat) game.

It comes into view, it's there a while, then it's gone.

And, razark, it's not a fake screenshot, it looks like that.

I've only seen it once.

It is in stock, and a lot of the mods. Since it's an RGG event - Random Generated Group - the computer determines if and when it will generate. I cannot remember the frequency setting, but it is rather low. It will glow on the horizon, whether day or night, when seen from a distance. There are "people" onboard, including in the rigging, and it does have cannons... They gave it a prop sound, like the jet in the movie Airplane, but in this case, not for the comedy as much as so that it would show up on sonar and you might chase it and see it's eery glow... btw, it does fly the flag of the Netherlands, if you catch it in your periscope. I don't know what that long, streaming thingie is flying from the mainmast, but it certainly isn't a skull and crossbones... - I've not ever seen it encounter an IJN Task Force, but that might be kind of fun to watch...

I've never seen it and I've been playing SH4 for 6 years on and off.

OK, Luzon straits, at certain hours...

just don't tell anybody where you got the info...

Notice all the alternate routing it can use? It's very similarly configured in stock.

... for some reason, in a LOT of mods, this is like the Bermuda triangle. All sorts of strange happenings near here...
