Default Coastal Bunkers

What's the range of the coastal bunkers? The one up ahead I'll be slipping past is described as a "Medium" one. Thanks..

Sorry, it was a lame question; I can just save, head towards it, and measure the distance when it starts firing..

Wow... thanks for the feedback..

should be like 5600 to 9200... but I can't remember, and the mods sometimes change that anyway. You won't get too many "looks" at them shooting before they hit you boat. Sometimes the first or second shot, and they have you... Sometimes, night and / or submerged is the way to go, but even at night, they can be deadly accurate in short order...

I have found that with reasonable visibility and weather the coastal guns have a shooting range of up to 6 NM. I always use the compass to draw a 6 NM circle around any known coastal guns, and never go inside that range, unless it is very dark and/or raining. They will easily see and kill you on a clear night, as you may have noticed!

i concur with tbait. after extensive play in coastal situations i do exactly what tbait does: as i approach an enemy and detect coastal batteries, i start drawing 6 nm (12km if playing the german side) circles using the battery as the center point.
good luck.

Depends on the mod you use

This is very true. Some mods may change aspects of the batteries. Posting your mod order with question can help others delve into the answer with a bit more clarity.

I'm guessing it turned his boat to pile of muck, descending on a one way dive.

According to this site it means 'camping' a position, shooting/sniping at whatever comes in range from a (elevated) position with superior tactical advantage. Because roasting such candy is a popular past-time to do when you are out on a camping trip.
