You have three folders labeled;

01_FOTRSU_Sea&Roster Base Pack
02_FOTRSU_Maru Cloned Addon
03_FOTRSU_Ship Cloning Project

Is this the install order for these folders? I'm unsure as what to do with them at the moment.
That is my intention - install the base mod first, but you need to make sure the previous sea and roster/sea folders have been 100% deleted.

Then install the Maru names second.. Then fingers crossed the Clone folder lastly.

But be aware - for some reason the cloned ships keep CTD'ing when I click on the Recognition Manual.

I am not sure where the ships came from - I think Maddy built them.
Yes all vessels have DDS files.

In my opinion, the NACA4 can be added later. I wouldn't worry about it now.
yes the NACA4 is the one cdrsubron7 highlighted on a previous post.
This is it in my museum

Thank you Jeff-Groves I will investigate later on today.

I only copied the NACA3 cfg file, as the skins are the same and dimensions are 99% the same..

I now have the NAC4 sailing nicely in my museum..
But for some reason the cloned ship keep CTD'ing when I click on the Recognition Manual

I've followed your install instructions, s7trikback. First question I have is the Names.cfg screenie below supposed to be the final version, because if it is I must hast have done something wrong. I'm not seeing the names of the Maru ships anyware.

cdrsubron7,

I had a cross contamination of my own doing the other day, i saved maru into clone and vis-versa

If you look at dropbox now - it's mostly sorted...

Just need to clean up the clone folder on my laptop before i update dropbox with it.

Regards,
s7rikeback.

I can commiserate with you on that, s7trikback. I have had that happen to me more than once lately. I'm coming to the conclusion that I'll never be a modder.

I will install your mod later this evening and give it a run through and report back.

BTW, s7trikback. Thanks for all your hard work. I for one want to say it's truly appreciated. I'm on vacation this week, so I'll have time to test your mod in depth. Looking forward to it.

It won't be too rough. Look in the Some Assembly Required directory and we're waiting for CapnScurvy.

cdrsubron7,

Cloning now also completed, against your spreadsheet. Just doing final checks - should be ready online this time tomorrow...

<<<Be advised all of my clones crash as soon you use the recognition manual>>>

Not sure what's happened as I thought all data was taken from the cfg files in game..

I will try and investigate in the next few days...

Regards,
s7rikeback

First of all, don't anyone panic, this ship pictured below is in an OLD mission file from when Maddy and his gang were testing things. I'm just wanting to see if I've got it recognized correctly and that it's the one in the ships we have:

versus:

One and the same, correct?...

While I'm doing screen grabs, and since I still cannot get the big computer to record any in-game activity since the last round of Windows updates, I'll do this:

Have you ever seen anchors that big before?... (I could think of all sorts of inappropriate puns here, but I won't go there... maybe). Anyway, this is docked at Midway, June whatever 1942 as I started on the first mission of a new career, to insert an agent on Hokkaido's South shore. Looked a bit out of proportion, but I don't know. I'm no anchor expert...

And let's do some lifeboats:

I don't even remember the vessel I'd sunk, but this is just after hitting the water, already swamped. But they kept a-rowing away... And getting tossed:

... and nearly ejected:

Gotta hand it to the crew though. They never panicked. Just let it happen, and kept rowing. I'll bet that if the seas were a little rougher, and they would have gone upside down, they would have stayed in their seats, and kept a-rowing... The fellers at either end of the boat would go from way out of the water, to way under the water, up and down, up and down... At least the oar locks are where they need to be here... - I do not have Webster's Lifeboat Fix enabled. The last couple of times I've enabled it, and found something to sink, the lifeboats would all be empty... I sank the three ships in that AOTD_MadMax group from the second picture above, all kinds of lifeboats on the water, not a single survivor... Oh well. Maybe later.

btw, notice the text box in the grab above?... A bit quick on the report? The "Torpedo impact" report you see is the 2nd hit, but the first had just hit right before it. That has nothing to do with the dudes in the lifeboats. Their ship got it about 3 minutes before the reporting you see there....

Are you referring to the Recognition Manual in the Museum or when your in Career Mode. It has to be the Museum because the RM works find in Career Mode.

I've been testing your mod tonight and sofar everything seems in order. I haven't seen any other ships from any of the different countries yet to see if the names are constant, but I'm sure with your excellent mode that won't be a problem.

I've gotta say that with your new mod s7trikback and max's RD mode the game has reached a whole new level playing the game .

Bravo Zulu, s7trikback.

Do you guys want pix from the Museum of specific ships, ie: anything with "Maru" in it's name?...

Thanks for the offer, pb. At the moment I don't think it's necessary. s7trikback has mentioned that the RM crashes in the Museum when he try's to view the cloned ships he's created. He might want some pictures though, let's wait and see.
