@Rhodes, I read that the sequel rumors are false.

Anyway, this last week I got another Xbox...which means I'm back to watching movies.

Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy. Instant Classic.

Also, thought i'd throw this in. On Thanksgiving Day, AMC is having a Godfather marathon. All day and all night.

Can't wait.

I saw The Day of the Doctor yesterday.

To quote the 9th Doctor: FANTASTIC!

I went and saw Catching Fire last night.

Even if you remove Jennifer Lawrence's awesomeness...it's still a great movie. They're actually sticking to the books for these movies.

X-Men First Class

More entertaining than you might think. I only watched it because...of course...Jennifer Lawrence was in it. Turned out to be an okay movie.

With one gripe.

*spoiler alert* *spoiler alert*

WHY THE HELL WOULD YOU END A MOVIE THE SAME WAY IT STARTED?! It made no progress whatsoever by the end. Just a full circle.

Magneto just turns into the exact thing they were trying to stop all through the movie.

Added on to that, my favorite character went to the "dark side"

The movie wasn't bad...but the end made me want to throw stuff.

Do the rest of the movies repeat themselves?

You don't know the character or the X-Men comics, I think?

Magneto began working with Xavier for integration but shift to the idea of the mutants being superior - Homo Superior and so his goal was always the mutant conquering the non mutants and rule them.
The thing is, the Hell Club agenda is different in the comics, in the movie they serve to create the conflict of ideas for magento and xavier to depart. Not a good explaination, but I lack of the english terms to explain better. Sorry.

No. I don't know the character or comics...but from my standpoint, I didn't like the ending.

I might look online for the story behind it later. Would make sense because First Class was great the way they put the story into the Cuban Missile Crisis. I liked that.

It had the girl, Russians, Germans, a Sub, and explosions.

What's not to like?

Yes, In terms of film and after the much "hated" X-Men 3, First Class was very good, in various terms!

Watched two sequels last weekend - Kick Ass 2 and Red 2.

Both very enjoyable romps through their respective areas.

As for the Hunger Games, the wife has read all three books in about as many weeks and was a bit sad at no more to read after then. She fell asleep 40 mins into the film.

It's definitely a guilty pleasure movie.

Kinda slow until they start up the Missouri...
