Unfortunately, MTV "taught" us a brilliant guitarist was one with confetti in his poodle hair, wearing paint-on trousers and playing a gazillion notes per minute in blissful abandon. Between other pickers, it seems T.E. has quite the status but MTV lives on a planet of it's own.

I had to learn the song just because the drummer thought it was the best thing to come along since Wipeout, and then scarily, the keyboard player got into it too... thankfully, he couldn't whistle or play the flute...

So to make up for it, we also learned

I wasn't near as good on guitar though...

Here's something that the 1980 Grammy audience didn't know ~what~ to think of... They'd never been rocked before!... and "yes, that is a 12 string bass guitar".

... and the guitar player has them tight pants on again!... Still ain't no Tommy Emmanuel though... I gotta look some ~more~!!!
